The series features the teleserye comeback of Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista, along with the newest Kapuso leading man Richard Yap and multi-awarded Kapuso actor Paolo Contis.

Kapuso viewers enjoyed the portrayal of Heart as she steps into the role of Celeste, a fashion designer and socialite engaged to a dashing debonair, Tonito, brought to life by Richard.

Some of the netizens noted that Heart fits the role of Celeste perfectly because she is indeed very fashionable and she is one of the icons when it comes to glitz and glamour. Among other things, since this is a comeback project for Heart, she still manages to thug the hearts of many because her love for acting is still there and she can very well deliver any given role and scene - Drama or Comedy, she nails it.

Richard Yap is undeniably one of the most sought after actor and this project, being paired to Heart Evangelista is the perfect welcome project for him at GMA Network. The chemistry between Richard and Heart is superb, their eyes are very expressive and at the same time, you won't see any awkwardness between the two. His role as Tonito is something different from his past roles and he did an awesome job into molding his personality.

The story started when Celeste reluctantly returns to her hometown, Sorsogon, she is forced to face the emotional baggage that she left behind when she moved to Manila. She still resents her father, who is now critically ill, and her father’s second family for looking down on her glitzy fashion life. She wants nothing more than to leave, but she finds herself face-to-face with her old flame, Mikoy, portrayed by Paolo, who stirs up feelings she thought she had long forgotten.

There's no denying that Paolo Contis is really good when it comes to acting, he gives his 200% and he is very passionate to his craft. He can immediately immerse into another world when the camera starts rolling and he is not Paolo anymore but his role, as Mikoy. The unexpected chemistry of Heart and Paolo (Celeste and Mikoy) makes the viewers torn into who is really the right and perfect guy for Celeste.

The longer that Celeste stays in her hometown, the more that she unexpectedly rediscovers her roots, rekindles her love for family, its people, and Mikoy, who just simply won’t leave her heart.

The series is made more exciting by an excellent roster of talented Kapuso stars.

Featuring two of the Network’s fast-rising teen stars: Kyline Alcantara as Tiffany, the 18-year-old daughter of Tonito who can be rebellious on the outside, but is actually sweet and warm on this inside; and in his first soap opera, Mavy Legaspi as Sebastian, Celeste’s estranged half-brother who is charming, handsome, and feisty.

Viewers and fans of Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi can't stop falling in love with the tandem as they look really good together on and off screen. Being good friends in real life adds up to to their respective roles which is why the chemistry is on the top. This is one of the many reasons why viewers are also looking forward to watch I Left My Heart in Sorsogon because of their amazing love team. Not to mention that both Kyline and Mavy are very good actors. They never disappoint.

Also starring in the show are Michelle Dee as Hazel, Mikoy’s girlfriend who considers Celeste as a threat to their relationship; Rey PJ Abellana as Patricio, Celeste’s estranged father; Isay Alvarez as Lucinda, Celeste’s doting mother who passed away years ago; Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino as Adora, Celeste’s stepmother and Sebastian’s loving mother; Marina Benipayo as Vivian, Tonito’s rich and overbearing older sister; Debraliz Valasote as Lola Ikay, Mikoy’s grandmother who has a passion for food; Issa Litton as Aurelia, Tonito’s ex-wife and Tiffany’s mother; Jennie Gabriel as May-may, Celeste’s cousin and childhood best friend; Jennifer Maravilla as Jamaica, Celeste’s fashionable friend and associate; Zonia Mejia as Clau, Tiffany’s friend; Bryce Eusebio as young Mikoy; Dayara Shaine as young Celeste; Elias Point as James, Tiffany’s classmate and long-time boyfriend; Victor Sy as Winston, Tonito’s trusted cousin and confidante.

Another notable fact is that this drama promotes what a beautiful destination Sorsogon is. The series featured some of the province’s most picturesque and stunning spots such as Paguriran Island and Lagoon, Bulusan Lake, Sorsogon City Rompeolas, and Sorsogon State University Library with the guidance and support of the Sorsogon Tourism Office.

The cinematography is amazing and you'd wish that the pandemic is over and you can fly to Sorsogon anytime and enjoy the native city plus the tourist spots, the delicious local food and more. Heart also mentioned in some of her interviews that she wishes Sorsogon will be one of the top tourist destination since they have so much to offer.

Harping on the show’s advocacy and Celeste’s journey of going back to her roots amidst her flamboyant and outlandish lifestyle, the show is set to showcase fashionable outfits that are made by local designers using products and materials that are native to the Philippines.

The show’s theme song titled ‘Our Love’ is composed and performed by Garrett Bolden under GMA Music.

Because of these reasons, I Left My Heart in Sorsogon has been getting amazing TV ratings and people should really look forward to the upcoming episodes.

Entertainment Wednesday, December 14, 2016

It has been a tradition of every Filipino that come Christmas Day, we all get the chance to watch quality, yes, quality made films from the country's top mainstream producer of films and one of them is Regal Films. Regal Films has produced some of the best films that will forever be imprinted in our hearts: From Horror - Shake, Rattle and Roll Series then to the Mano Po Saga that continues to showcase the epic stories of Chinese families

here in the Philippines. Only the best and multi-awarded actors and actress got the chance to be part of the Mano Po series which is why the seventh part - Mano Po Chinoy will be another of Regal Film's classic film which we should all watch and applaud.

In Mano Po 7: Chinoy, Regal Films’ Christmas offering, Richard plays a business tycoon who is overly protective and very strict with his loved ones (as most Chinese are), with Jean Garcia as his wife and, as their children, Enchong, Janella Salvador and Jana Agoncillo, with Marlo Mortel, Jessy Mendiola, Kean Cipriano and Jake Cuenca completing the all-star cast.

During the Grand Blogcon of Mano Po 7 Chinoy, the cast namely Marlo Mortel, Janella Salvador, Enchong Dee, Jean Garcia and Richard Yap were present to promote and tell us about the movie. Of course, the main question was how do they feel that they were not included in the Magic 8 of this year's MMFF.

Richard Yap shared his reaction, “Of course, my natural reaction was disappointment that we were not included in the MMFF. But after thinking it over, I realized that God might have better plans for us. Like they say, ‘When God closes a door, He opens a window somewhere.’” It would have been Richard Yap first ever Best Actor award, but Richard accepted the decision. “We really did everything possible na maging worthy siya as MMFF entry. But we can’t do anything about their decision. We just have to live with it and do our best. So we are showing this before the MMFF, para maging masaya pa

rin ang mga tao,”

Richard talks about his role, “I play Wilson Wong, a typical Fil-Chinese who is successful in business and in all aspects of his life but is somewhat lacking when it comes to showing his love and affection to his family. I would say that there are parts of the character I play that are like me in some ways. I used to be uncomfortable in showing affection when I was younger. My wife showed me how and changed me for the better.”

Do they have a memorable scene in Taiwan where they shot the movie? “I think the most memorable moment was when we were caught in the typhoon. The bus was swaying and had difficulty moving because of the strong wind. Aside from that, another memorable moment was when we were allowed to go into the chamber of the temple where it is normally not open to everyone. There you could feel the peace which you can only feel in a sacred place.”

#MarNella is back and fans will surely enjoy their most awaited comeback in the big screen. When asked how do they feel that they're paired again in this much awaited movie, Marlo said that he will be forever grateful to Mother Lily and Regal Films for making it possible because he really missed working with Janella although they continuously have communication, they remained friends and would always update each other of their whereabouts even if they're not a love team anymore.

Janella said that she's happy that MarNella fans are still there, in full support of their love team and their movie. She added that she's been very blessed this year and she can't ask for more, which is why she is also looking forward to spend Christmas with her family, they'll be celebrating it in Baguio while Marlo will be going to Australia with his family.

It's also a blessed year for Enchong Dee, aside from launching his new album, he also opened a restaurant this year but of course, Mano Po 7 would have been his first acting award as well as Best Supporting Actor if Mano Po 7 Chinoy were part of MMFF 2016. Enchong couldn't hide his sadness over it but said that they all need to move on and guarantees everyone that Mano Po 7 is indeed a quality Film. He added that they've worked hard for this film and that it offers a classic story about Chinoy families and also showcases core values of a family and what we can learn from it.

Enchong Dee will be paired with Jessy Mendiola on this film and he said that it was ice working with her since she is very professional. Although Enchong is "loveless" right now, Enchong said that his inspiration right now is his work and that he is very serious with his craft. At his age right now, he wants to achieve more bucket list in life. He wanted to back pack across Asia and save up more money for the future, put up more business and do more challenging roles. His role in Mano Po 7 in surely another one of Enchong's most top caliber portrayal that people should watch out for.

Another timeless actress and definitely a Best Actress, Jean Garcia said that she is privileged that she gets the chance to work with Kapamilya stars since she is the only Kapuso star in the movie. According to her, working with them gave her a chance to explore more and appreciate how they showed their support to her as well. Jean said that she really felt like she was a wife of a busy Chinese tycoon with Richard Yap, she added that Richard Yap is really one of a kind actor, he is very professional and that he loves his craft and the staff to his co-actors.

The Achy Breaky Hearts: Starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Ian Veneracion & Richard Yap Showing on June 29!

Direk Tonet Jadaone Friday, June 24, 2016

Jodi Sta. Maria will be caught in a love triangle between Richard Yap and Ian Veneracion in Star Cinema's upcoming movie The Achy Breaky Hearts.

It can be remembered that Jodi formed good tandems with Richard and Ian in separate television shows. Both tandems earned their own fans and are all very excited for this upcoming film.

"The Achy Breaky Hearts" follows the story of Chinggay (Jodi Sta. Maria), a jewelry shop manager, is one of the single women in their 30’s who feels the pressure to find love. She goes out on dates with men but none of them seem to make the cut. You may blame her high standards but the pain from her previous relationship could also be affecting her judgment on men. Now, her love life is suffering a drought for seven years.

Everything changes when suddenly, two men are interested to be with her. Ryan (Ian Veneracion) and Frank (Richard Yap).

Chinggay finds herself torn between two kinds of love. Will she choose one over the other? Or will she realize that the love that she needs won’t come from either?

As early as now, Teams JodIan (Jodi-Ian) and JoChard (Jodi-Richard) have been active in social media to campaign for their favorite tandem to end up in this movie.

During the Grand Presscon of The Achy Breaky Hearts, Jodi said that she is very grateful and thankful to ABS-CBN for trusting her and giving her projects that really motivates her to be a better actress on each project. Up until now she can't believe that her tandem with Richard Yap and Ian Veneracion was a big hit and she is also thasnkful to all her supporters that even though she is being paired with different actors, they're still there, supporting her every step of the way.

The lead stars Ian Veneracion, Richard Yap, and Jodi Sta. Maria revealed what makes them feel "kilig" since they have been making all their fans "kilig" for the past few months.

Ian, having his own brand of humor said, "Siguro 'yung description ng kilig 'yung pagkatapos mo mag-jingle no?" But on a serious note, he said, "Ako siguro 'pag 'yung kausap ko sweet sa akin. 'Yung may mga pahabol na tingin."

Richard said that he always looks in the eyes. "Sa akin siguro is when someone looks at you at nakikita mong may love sa mata niya. Kikiligin ka," he related.

Jodi, on the other hand, is more on the appreciation side. "Nakikilig ako when people appreicate me and the work that I do," she said. "And also 'yung mga simple blessings in life."

Moreover, co-stars Sarah Lahbati and Beauty Gonzalez and director Anotinette Jadaone also revealed what makes them "kilig." "Everything makes me kilig. Tititigan lang ako, jusko tumaas na balahibo ko. Madali ako kiligin just by saying 'Good morning'. My BF, sabihan niya akong good morning, kilig na ako," Beauty said.

She added, "People telling me I look good now, kilig na ako. 'Yun everything makes me kilig lalo na kung mahal mo magsasabi sa'yo."

Sarah wants someone who is affectionate to her, meanwhile."Ako kinikilig ako sa affection. Kapag kasi minsan 'pag matagal na kayo magkasama, minsan ang nangyayari nawawala 'yun. So kinikilig ako kapag constant na andyan 'yung affection at tsaka 'yung care."

Direk Tonet, who transcends her "kilig" to the audience, said "Unexpected na gestures. Basta unexpected."

Award-winning director Antoinette Jadaone, who worked for the first time with Richard Yap and for the second time with Ian Veneracion and Jodi Sta. Maria, shared her working experience with the three.

" Sobrang mabait [nila]. Wala akong sakit ng ulo sa set. Sobrang gagaling po nila," Direk Tonet said.

Age natin. Mas mature na age ng Pinoy," she said, laughing.

Direk Tonet said that it is a "more mature" kind of kilig. "Ibang klaseng kilig po binibigay nila," she said. "Pero na-realize ko 'yung kilig na pa-tweetums age at kilig ng age ng Jodi-Ian-Richard, pareho lang pala. Pareho lang 'yung kilig na maibibigay nila. 'Yung kilig nila, 'pag pinapanood mo sila, parang 15 years old. May ganung klase ng kilig pa pala na sila lang nakakapagbigay."

"Based po sa mga comments and reactions online, parang iba't ibang age po. 15 [years old] pataas. May titas, may lolas, may high school, may college, may yuppies. So in fairness din naman sa kanila."
