The Good One JV Ejercito seeks second chance in Senate in 2022 Philippine National Election

Former Sen. JV Ejercito is running for his second attempt as a Senator under the Nationalist People's Coalition. 

Addressing the bloggers in an intimate interview at Art Circle Cafe, Ejercito said he decided to run again despite the challenges that lie ahead because he wanted to oversee the implementation of the universal health care law and the law that created the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development. He added that if only he was elected last 2019 as Senator, he would have the chance during the pandemic to head what he authored which is the Universal Health Care - Republic Act No. 11223 which was signed into law by President Rodrigo Duterte.

National Integrated Cancer Control Act Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay Act Philipr!ae WV and AIDS Policy Act %ct Providing for the Mandatory PhilHealth Coverage for All Senior Citizens La Ad Strengthening the Anti-Hospital Deposit Law Mental Health Act An Act Providing for the Mandatory Philhealth Coverage for All Persons with Disability (PWDs) An Act Increasing the Excise Tax on Tobacco Products, Imposing Excise Tax on Heated Tobacco Products and Vapor Products 


SEN. JV also prioritizes the following health measures: 

  • Barangay Health Workers Act. Dialysis Center Ad. Establishment of a Center for Autism. 

AS CHAIRMAN of the Senate Committee on Urban Planning, Housing and Resettlement, Sen JV led the passage of the following: 

  • Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development 
  • Charter of the Quezon City Development Authority 
  • Balanced Housing Development Program Amendments 
  • Awarding of housing units to ISFs, public servants, seafarers under Senate Joint Resolution No. 7 

SEN. JV also prioritizes the following measure for decent and affordable Housing: 

  • The On-Site, In-City or Near-City Resettlement Program Act
  • Teacher's Housing Program.
