Up Close with Showbiz Newcomer MIGUEL VILLASIS

After winning First Runner Up in the Face of the Year 2018, MIGUEL VILLASIS is all set for the spotlight as he is given the chance to break into the entertainment industry in

a major way.

Miguel won so many awards in the recent Face of the Year pageants that it is no wonder that he exudes that charm and confidence that would help him a lot now that he wanted to try his luck in the showbiz industry as an actor and singer.

The 22 year old hunk is currently taking up Marketing and has done several commercials before joining the Face of the Year. It was his first time to join a pageant so that it would be a stepping stone for him to enter the showbiz industry and so far he enjoyed the experience even though at first he was overwhelmed and scared to try it.

In an interview, Miguel also shared that he was active in sports, at the age of 7 he was good in Karate and Martial Arts. Then when he was in Letran, he was a varsity player for Basketball in High School, then also in Trinity College then he was contacted by Ms. Marlo to endorse Cafe Marla and everything started from there on.

Miguel shared that deep inside he knows that he is very ready to see his talent in acting push through since he is also doing acting and singing workshops, he knows that he needs to learn more but he improved since day 1. He added that he had always been interested in acting which is why he is thankful to Sir Ace and Ms. Marla for believing in him and managing him to showcase what he is passionate about.

Miguel also shares his experience on his workshops from hosting to acting where he also got the chance to bond with Kokoy De Santos, a fellow actor who has done an indie film "Tumbang Preso" and also "Die Beautiful" to name a few.

Since Miguel will be working closely in the spotlight and wishes to focus on drama, he shared that he really wanted to do teleseryes, indie films and more and with that he said that he wishes to work with his idols Piolo Pascual and Jericho Rosales in the future since they are very natural when they deliver their lines and scenes, he wishes to work with Bianca Umali too since he has a big crush on her. He wants to do challenging roles too to broaden his abilities in acting and become a versatile actor.

Surely there's more to Miguel Villasis aside from his good looks after winning Face of the Year 2018, he is committed and driven to push through with dream of becoming an actor and with his sheer determination, grounded and humble nature, there's no denying that he will definitely achieve this dream.
