"The Write Moment" starring Jerald Napoles and Valeen Montenegro will finally have its commercial run starting June 27 through Viva Films as they officially distribute the film commercially in cinemas nationwide.
The movie, which follows the story of a writer who tries to win back the heart of his former girlfriend, was an original entry in QCinema International Film Festival 2017.

The lead stars with the Director of the film, Direk Dominic. Dominic Lim graduated with a degree in BS Management Major in Communications Technology Management in Ateneo de Manila Univeristy. Three years after, he studied filmmaking in Asia Pacific Film Institute. His first full-length is film is Kapitan Basura, a comedy film for the 2nd Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival. After that, he focused on writing for film and television. He is now a scriptwriter currently under The IdeaFirst Company, a creative content company led by internationally awarded filmmakers Jun Robles Lana & Perci Intalan. His most recent writing credits include: D5 Studios’ online series “Forever Sucks” season 2, and Regal Films’ My Rebound Girl starring Alex Gonzaga. He also teaches basic script writing and storytelling at the Asia Pacific Film Institute.
PLOT - The story evolves with a heartbroken writer who tries to get back with an ex through his romantic comedy hugot script but fails and instead finds himself magically living-out the scenes he has written. He’s forced to follow everything verbatim—or else face being stuck in an existential loop of scenes that repeat over and over again.
The first time that I saw the trailer of the film when it was shown via QCinema, I was really excited to watch it but due to busy schedule I was now able to watch it last year, thankfully Viva Films will not have a commercial run for this film and people with appreciate Jerald and Valeen even more in this film. We are so used to them playing the second act - the best friend or the villain in many projects, this time around, the spotlight is on them and they really did well in this film.

Dave (Jerald Napoles) is a scriptwriter for a wedding and events coverage company. When his girlfriend Joyce (Valeen Montenegro) broke up with him for no apparent reason, he is devastated. Heartbroken, he directs his pain to writing a fictional script where he and Joyce get back together. I admire how Valeen can pull together different emotions realistically and how you can see in her face that in that scene, she is madly in love with Jerald. I wish they will be given more projects like this one. Don't miss the final scene of the film for you to know if it will have a happy ending.
The Write Moment is a romantically comic film that will make you understand what heartbroken people goes through just to cope up with the misery of having that blow of not receiving the 100% love that they can give. This movie is all about acceptance and moving on and just like the famous line in this film, "Hindi lahat nadadaan sa kilig", relationships should always focus on the reality of tackling how they can mature and grown together as a couple and how they can inspire each other to be a better person so that their love with be nurtured even more.
