My Korean Jagiya Premieres August 21 via GMA Telebabad [Grand Presscon Photos & Videos]

The most awaited Filipino-Korean teleserye will be premiering soon via the heart of Asia, the country's leading home of quality Asianovelas, none other than GMA Network.

My Korean Jagiya is top-billed by Philippine TV Sweetheart Ms. Heart Evangelista-Escudero and Korean star, former KPOP group U-Kiss Member Alexander Lee.

My Korean Jagiya tells the story of Gia (Heart), a quirky, bubbly, and hopelessly romantic girl often teased that she is next in her family to become an old maid. Apart from being a Korean grade school tutor, she is the ultimate K-drama fan girl armed with determination to meet her long-time crush and Korean superstar, Kim Jun Ho (Alexander), who has since fallen off the radar and stepped out of the limelight at the height of his career.

When her school offers her a scholarship training in Seoul, she grabs the opportunity to try and find Jun Ho, but ends up coming home disappointed. As it turns out, fate had a different plan for her when she helps a drunk Korean guy beaten by gangsters in one of Manila’s bars. After a few days, the mysterious guy comes back to thank her, and much to her surprise, it’s her dream oppa, Kim Jun Ho!

Sparks fly and the two of them eventually become friends. But to Gia, Jun Ho will always mean something more. Can he find it in his heart to fall in love with her, too? Or are some dreams too good to come true?

During the grand press conference of My Korean Jagiya, the lead stars shared how excited they are for this collaboration. This is the first ever Filipino-Korean romantic comedy series and Heart said that she is grateful to GMA Network for this memorable project.

There was also a point where Heart got emotional while sharing how wonderful her experience is with My Korean Jagiya together with the whole cast and crew

Alexander Lee also thanked GMA Network for making him a part of My Korean Jagiya, he also mentioned that he loves working with Heart and that she is beautiful inside and out.

The Cast of My Korean Jagiya

The powerful cast will give a colorful and worthwhile viewing experience for Filipinos who loves watching both Filipino and Koreanovelas. My Korean Jagiya is directed by no less than Direk Mark Reyes. The series was also shot in different popular destination in South Korea particularly where Koreanovelas used to shoot some of their scenes. Heart even mentioned that she is as well a KDrama fan, flashback to the time where she did the Pinoy version of

"Full House" with Richard Gutierrez. The KDrama stars Song Hye Kyo and Rain. Heart mentioned how she was a big fan of Song Hye Kyo and she even buys all the skin care products she endorses.
