It's Me, Gracee: Sunday Pinasaya segments

Sunday PinaSaya: Puso ng Saya 2nd Year Anniversary, Monthlong Celebration!

Entertainment Tuesday, July 25, 2017

Sunday PinaSaya, PUSO ng Saya is celebrating their 2nd year anniversary this month and indeed, the variety show has revolutionized what seems to be the traditional variety show we used to watch during noontime specifically every Sunday. They don't just entertain the audience and viewers with lively dance and song numbers but they also make the viewers enjoy every skit they have, more fun and laughter every Sunday thanks to Sunday PinaSaya!

The episode that was aired last July 23 was as always LIVE. It was a privilege to watch the show on the set and meet the superb cast of Sunday PinaSaya who never failed to make the audience full of energy. It was also my first time to watch it LIVE.

The moment Ryzza Mae Dizon together Jose Manalo and Wally Bayolo hit the stage, the audience got wild. They welcomed everyone with a warm smile, Pekto was also there together with the Andrei Paras who, as always looks so fresh. He's been busy getting back into shape with Basketball which is his first love before he became an actor.

The moment when #GabRu - Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madird hit the stage, the audience went wild again specifically when Julie Anne San Jose waved at her fans together with the Queen of Comedy Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas, Gladys Guevarra and That's my bae Kim Last. The first segment of Sunday PinaSaya is KantaSerye: Casa Buslo.

You'll know that the cast are sincerely enjoying each company when you saw them perform live and in your face and from what I saw, they're clearly enjoying this show and everyone's having the time of their life. I believe if you're an actor or a performer, you're lucky to be part of Sunday PinaSaya.

The next segment of Sunday PinaSaya is one of my favorites. Jose Manalo's version of President Duterte is truly one of his funniest ever. He is like the twin brother of Pres. Duterte and this segment is just for fun so I don't think anyone should take any offense about it as well. Their special guest were Thea Tolentino of Haplos which airs weekdays via GMA Afternoon Prime, Kris Bernal of Impostora weekdays via GMA Afternoon Prime, Ruru Madrid who will be part of the Book 2 of Alyas Robinhood and Gil Cuerva from My Love from the Star weekdays via GMA Telebabad.

Super Tekla was one of the guest as well and he portrays the assistant of Pres. Dugong, as Mocha. Now I understand why Super Tekla is always trending on YouTube and why he has a lot of fans. Most of my Retweets via Twitter were because of Super Tekla. (The hashtag of Sunday PinaSaya that day was #SPSPusongSaya which landed on the 4th spot Philippines Trending that day) Clearly, Super Tekla has gained fans ever since Willie Revillame discovered him and fans were wishing that he will be part of Sunday PinaSaya as well.

The next segment is the Rap Battle hosted by Pambansang Bae Alden Richards and Jerlad Napoles. The battle is between Boobay and Super Tekla. Since it was the first time Super Tekla did a rap segment, Boobay dominated and won.

For the Pinoy Superstore segment, the stars were Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas, Joey Paras, Lovely Abella and Valeen Montenegro. The special guest is none other than Ika-6 na Utos star Ms. Angelika Dela Cruz. It was also a segment for Lactum on how to make kids more energetic and healthy by drinking Lactum.

The next segment is where they honor a jeepney driver who has been working as a barker for years just to support his family. They gave him a trophy as well.

The next segment is SayaWit hosted by Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola. This is where Valeen Montenegro, Jerald Napales and Joey Paras will interpret the song using actions while the guests Thea Tolentino and Kris Bernal will guess the title of the song while they have headset and they can't hear the song that was playing. Kris Bernal won this segment.

A special segment of Sunday PinaSaya is Kapuso Milyonaryo and it was presented by Meant To Be star Jak Roberto that day.

The last segment was a song and dance performance by no less than Julie Anne San Jose who sung her own version of "Imagine". She later did an explosive dance number by the industry's top performers when it comes to the dance floor namely Wynwyn Marquez, That's my bae Kenneth Medrano, Rodjun Cruz and Rochelle Pangilinan.

SUNDAY PINASAYA: Make Sundays even more fun with Unli-Tawanan Segments!

Ai Ai Delas Alas Saturday, October 10, 2015

Sundays will never be the same again especially when it strikes noon time because you will surely love GMA Network's variety show which has been making waves and hitting high ratings ever since it was aired.

Check out the rating below:

Sunday PinaSaya stars Marian Rivera-Dantes, Ai Ai de las Alas, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola. Accompanying them are Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose, Alden Richards, Joey Paras, Jerald Napoles, and Valeen Montenegro. The program premiered last August 9, 2015 as the successor to Sunday All Stars on the network's Sunday Grande block and is also aired worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV.

Ever since I've watched their first episode, I'm hooked. It's a show jam packed with

segments that will make you laugh and relax, perfect for Sunday.

My favorite segment is Cynthia's School of Overacting where Wally Bayola plays the role of an over acting and super funny acting coach where he teaches top veteran actors/actress in the showbiz industry like Jaclyn Jose, Maricel Soriano and even Celia Rodriguez and mind you, this is LIVE! I super love Wally, he's really a brilliant actor/comedian. I also love the Dos Lolos segment with Jose and Wally.

Other segments include:

Bongga si Dai

The story is about Inday or Lady Dai (played by Ai-Ai), who became rich after winning lottery. She has an ambitious and social climber maid named Phoebe (played by Joey) who speaks with British accent. Each episode, Phoebe teaches Lady Dai different lessons on how to become a real socialite. Characters in this skit also cross over the Kantaserye segment Sari-Sari Luv.

Judge MD

Marian Rivera plays the role of Judge MD, who goes between two parties to resolve bizarre and petty conflicts. Rivera sits on the judge's seat, but unlike the typical courtroom setting, the defendant and plaintiff, portrayed by celebrity guests, face each other in two witness stands. Also part of the skit are Valeen as court clerk and Jose as police officer. As a parody in the common dialogue of judges - "Order in the court", which is used to demand silence in the courtroom, a waiter (played by Jerald), will come out from the backroom to take the judge's food order.

Madramarama Presents

The skit follows the pattern of a typical Filipino "telenovela" or serial drama wherein the story is cut into several weekly episodes. Besides having a convoluted dramatic plot and unexpected twists, it is still injected with comedic acts, jokes and punchlines. Each week, the episode will end with a question and the audience will have a stake on what would happen next by voting via the show's social media account. The first feature story is entitled "Ano ang Ano? Kanino?" (What is What? Whose?) which is about the twisted fate of twins, Ella and Lala, played by Ai-Ai and Marian.

Kantaserye Presents

Kantaserye is the show's take on a "musical play". The actors, who are also singers, after delivering their lines, will sing songs that are related to the scene. They usually sing popular OPM songs. A voice-over, who is likened with the voice of "Big Brother" serves as the narrator. The first feature story starring Jose, Wally, Jerald and Julie Anne is entitled "Sari-Sari Luv". Noteworthy actor who have guested in this segment is Christopher De Leon.

Chef Boy Next Door

The show also offers a "cooking segment" featuring the heartthrob and the half of the phenomenal love tandem AlDub, Alden Richards. In this segment, Alden goes under the monicker "Chef Boy-Next-Door" who is assisted by Rico Fabio played by Jerald . The segment starts with a dance number from Chef Boy, after which he will teach and demo simple recipes to the live audience. Once the food is cooked, Rico will pick someone from the audience to taste the food Chef Boy prepared. The lucky audience will also get a chance to spin a wheel that will determine which part of Chef Boy's body she will get to kiss. On the recent episode, the wheel was modified wherein instead of body parts, it now contains special prizes like chocolate, pillow and Alden's studio album.

Kanta Ririt

Aside from comedy skits, the show also features a fun and exciting "game segment" dubbed as "Kanta Ririt". Jose and Marian serve as the game masters. Two teams, composed of celebrity guests, will compete in a charades-like guessing game of song titles. Team members will take turns to sing a set of songs, but they must not sing the lyrics instead replace it with strange and funny sounds like a dog's bark or a cat's meow. The team with the most number of song titles guessed after two minutes wins the game and brings home a trophy.

“Ito ang kantahan na ‘di kailangan ng biritan dahil tono lang ang dapat mahulaan.”

The Fashionistas

Jose, Wally and Jerald, after walking in the catwalk wearing high-fashion and usually eccentric outfits, sing original compositions that talks about specific themes and issues based on human experiences.

DJ Bae

On this sketch of a radio show, Alden plays the role of DJ Bae, a disk jockey who gives advice to its listeners who calls on the show. Serving as his side kick is Jerald who plays the role of "Papa Pete". Likened to most radio shows nowadays, DJ Bae and Papa Pete throw funny punchlines and practical advice on various topics, including love.

So make your Sunday afternoon more fun and exciting with SUNDAY PINASAYA!

Spread good vibes by watching this show and you'll surely enjoy the nonstop Kulitan with the rest of the hosts!
