It's hard not to like Jennylyn Mercado. Pretty face with vibrant smile and a very positive outlook in life, just by looking at her, you'll know she's determined to do whatever it takes to reach the top and just like what the pabebe girls say, "Walang makakapgil kay Jennylyn to reach the top".

She has definitely come a long way from being the first Female Ultimate Survivor of Starstruck. After the Artista search, the rest is history. She's a versatile actress who's done tetelseryes via GMA Network and three major album as well. Aside from this, she never stops learning, she also entered hosting and her first hosting stint was Protege: The Battle for the Big Break. It is no wonder that whatever she does, she does it good and it is just rightful that she is one of the Judges in the much awaited comeback of the artista search that started it all: Starstruck whcih will hit your TV screens this coming September.

Right now, Jennylyn plays the role of Melanie Fernandez in the GMA Network Primetime block teleserye "My Faithful Husband" with Dennis Trillo and Mikael Daez. It's a reunion project for Dennis and Jennylyn after Gumapang Ka sa Lusak. The series is directed by Aaron Yanga, and also stars Snooky Serna, Rio Locsin, Nonie Buencamino, Louise delos Reyes, Kevin Santos, and Jade Lopez, among others.

When I learned about this teleserye, I told myself, "Not another unfaithful relationship story!" but the story evolves about a woman who is unfaithful and the man who is willing to wait until she regains her senses — that made a big difference. This is a different kind of love story. This is both from the perspective of the man and the woman.

My Faithful Husband is the story of Emman (Dennis Trillo), devoted husband to Mel and father to their children, who will do anything for his family. He will accept the fact that he is left in the house while his wife is out at work, but is terribly hurt that Mel betrays him. On the other hand, Mel is the ambitious, beautiful woman who starts out as the good wife until Dean, the love of her life, returns. In a moment of weakness, she gives in to the call of the flesh.

My Faithful Husband tells the story of how a man and a woman accept the biases of double standard even when they know that the relationship no longer works. Also in the cast are Mikael Daez (Dean), greatest love of Mel and Louise delos Reyes (Mylene) who sides with her Ate Mel when it comes to relationships.

According to Jennylyn, this role is new to her since she is used to doing "nice" roles.

She added that Dennis gives a lot of inspiration to all his co-workers. He comes to work all prepared and is very professional with everything he does. Jennylyn said she is thankful to all the fans and supporters of their show and there will a lot more revelation in the coming episodes so do watch out for it.

So, how does Jennylyn balances her time from all her busy schedule. She's a loving Mom to Jazz, manages to squeeze being athletic via Biking and goes taping teleserye and movies too.

Jennylyn has been filming the movie "Prenup" with Sam Milby. This is under Regal Films. It is a Rom-Com movie directed by award winning screenwriter Jun Lana. Aside from this she will also be working with JM De Guzman in an MMFF Movie this coming December "Walang Forever" under Quantum Films which will be directed by Dan Villegas and screenplay by Antoinette Jadaone.
