This Mother’s Day, Filipinay, which strives to empower women (including mothers) to make the right reproductive health choice for herself and her family, is celebrating mother’s day by providing free rides in Manila and Cebu.

LibrengSakaywill run from May 14-16, and will have different buses and jeeps plying various routes to make it more convenient for mothers to go to and from their destinations free of charge.Manila, Cebu City, and Davao City will see buses and jeeps with “LibrengSakay” signs in front of specific pickup and drop off points around their respective metros.

In Manila, five buses will be going back and forth between and SM Fairview and Taft via Quezon Avenue, three buses will ply the Fairview-Alabang route, and two buses will be available for those traveling from Malanday to Alabang and vice versa. In Cebu, there will be jeeps that will go back and forth within Ayala, Cebu City. The free rides are open in the tri-metro areas, just look for the “LibrengSakay” sign.

She continues, “Providing free transportation is our small way of giving back to mothers, and we hope that our buses and jeeps also encourage other women to become more curious about what we do, and to explore the many options that are available to them.”
