Matteo Guidicelli Marks 10th Anniversary With Matteo Made In Cebu Concert

Almost a year since his first concert, Matteo Guidicelli is bringing back his music on the concert stage and paying homage to his hometown through "Matteo Made in Cebu."
Matteo's first major concert, which would be held at the WaterFront Cebu City Hotel & Casino on November 18, marks his 10th year in the business.

"First off, it's my 10 years in the industry already. It's still a short time but I think it's a stepping stone. 10 years has passed and maraming mga challenges and maraming mga learning aspects. Big maturity. My life has grown big time in showbiz," he said.
The singer-actor has made it a point to always "give back" where he first planted his roots. Matteo previously shot his first ever music video for his debut album's carrier single "Ipapadama A/a Lang" in Cebu.
"Because Cebu is my hometown and everything I do, all my first stuff I always like to bring it back home to Cebu. So the artists I'll perform with are all Bisaya." he shared.
The concert would have him performing with Concert King Martin Nievera and Soul Supreme KZ, as well as the G-Force Dancers. His guest performer is Visayan singer Kurt Fick who is behind the hit "Hahaha Hasula." Helping Matteo perfect 'Matteo Made in Cebu" is his musical director, acclaimed composer Louie Ocampo and his experienced director Rowell Santiago. The former "Dolce Amore" star shared that it took them almost five months to plan for the show.
"I guess it's my journey talaga from day 1 to the 10th year. It's a celebration of everything. Of me being bisaya, of me being Cebuano and me enjoying life and me spreading the good vibes and everything to everybody," he said.
Matteo assured that his fans could expect a unique show that would be a far cry from his first concert "MG1," which was held at the Music Museum.
"It's gonna be different because the taste of Rowell Santiago is different eh. Sir Louie's kind of music is kind of different also," he said. "We also have a lot of new songs to cover and we also have a lot of old songs that I'm going to be covering that you'll be shocked na Vy bakit alam niya 'yun."'
With less than a month to rehearse for the show, Matteo admits that he's somewhat scared to perform for the Cebu crowd, especially after having heard that they were quite hard to please.
What keeps him going, though, is the fact that he has a good team and a good motivation for "Matteo Made in Cebu."
"My main goal is to really have fun and to let everybody enjoy and have a good time and reminisce their past," he said.
In the end, Matteo says that he's hoping to tour the concert to other provinces and even to bring it to Metro Manila and outside the Philippines in the future.
