GARY V ON FIRE!

Concerts 2018 Friday, October 05, 2018

One of the most enduring names in the concert scene, Gary Valenciano mounts a concert as a way of giving thanks for his second lease on life.

Only a few names come to mind when you hear the word "longevity."

Gary Valenciano is one of them.

At 50, Mr. Pure Energy is still on top of his game.

After all, the multi-awarded performer, recording artist, producer, actor, host, and celebrity judge has been in love with music and performing since the age of 14. And the public loved him back.

In 1978, a very young Gary appeared in a commercial for Fress Gusto, the defunct soft-drink brand of San Miguel.

Gary then made his official foray into local showbiz a few years later, in 1982. He marked his first showbiz milestone some two years later, or in 1984, when he staged his first solo concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

From then on, there was no looking back for the talented fellow. Gary made hit after hit, milestone after milestone, collecting awards and plaudits as he went along.

As a recording artist, Gary did a number of albums, some of which were released internationally. He holds the distinction of winning the "Best Male Recording" in Awit Awards 12 times.

As an actor, Gary has worked on 14 full-length movies, appearing alongside such famous actresses as Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Lorna Tolentino, Maricel Soriano, to name a few.

As a concert performer, Gary has performed at sold-out venues in the Philippines and beyond. He's been dubbed as the "Michael Jackson of the Philippines" thanks to his high-octane or "hataw" dance moves on the concert stage.

On top of being an OPM legend, he's been involved in some charitable projects. In 2008, he marked his tenth anniversary as a UNICEF Ambassador.

So it is not surprising that Gary Valenciano, even after successfully dealing with a major health scare this year, is raring to go back to the stage. It's where his heart belongs. This time around, he's not staging a concert for the sake of entertainment. He's doing it for charity as a way of giving thanks for getting a second lease on life.

Titled "Gary V: Mr. Pure Energy in XS," this concert is a musical event that would help raise funds for the Xavier School charities. It will be held on October 13, 2018 at the Xavier Sports Center in Greenhills, San Juan City. “Gary V, Mr. Pure Energy in XS” will be more memorable because his very own daughter Kiana Valenciano will be joining him on stage.

For ticket inquiries, call 911-5555 or visit www.ticketnet.com.ph.

Maricris Garcia all set for her solo concert 'MAR1CR1S' on September 28 at Teatrino, Greenhills

Concerts 2018 Monday, September 17, 2018

With the ever expanding GMA Network's roster of stars, its really hard for one to stay relevant at a given time specifically when it comes to singers and performers, one after the other, there are new one, more powerful voices and even younger.

Maricris Garcia has worked her way to GMA and to the showbiz industry bhy working hard on it, she was the third grand champion of Pinoy Pop Superstar and later became a member of the singing trio La Diva along with Jonalyn Viray and Aicelle Santos. Maricris Garcia tied the knot last December 2016 with TJ Cruz at San Antonio de Padua Church and since she's been a loving and supportive wife but she is still very much active in showbiz.

This year, Maricris is celebrating her 11th year in the industry and to celebrate it, she will be having her first ever solo concert entitled, "MAR1CR1S" on September 28 at Teatrino, Greenhills. This will also be a celebration of her birthday which will be on September 26.

"The show is going to be more of a storytelling type. I want to share my journey since I started my career up to the present as well as my personal life, my musical influences and more." shared Maricris. She added that the planning stage was a bit hard and at times she felt pressured and stressed, good thing is that GMA Artist Center and most of her friends in the industry were very supportive of her and really pushed her to finally have a concert of her own because she really deserves it.

"MAR1CR1S" promises a grand ensemble of music, entertainment and nostalgia as the Kapuso diva looks back on her journey in the industry. Maricris personally conceptualized the concert which was brought to life by director Marc Lopez.

She will be joined by the industry's best singers including Nar Cabico, Mark Bautista and Asia;s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. Maricris shared that she felt really happy and thankful that Ms. Regine welcomed her invitation with open arms as to be a guest on her concert, she knew that she is very busy but when she said yes and even came to the point of following up if the concert will push through made Maricris love her even more. She said that the Asia's Songbird has always been very supportive of everyone and she felt really grateful that she got the chance to work with her.

Aside from getting busy with her upcoming concert. Maricris will also be part of an upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime teleserye with co-stars Kris Bernal, Jason Abalos and Rayver Cruz. According to Maricris, she will be portraying a good role in this series unlike her past roles where she was a friend of a kontrabida and so on. But before this, Maricris Garcia sung the OST of the upcoming teleserye of GMA Network "IKA-5 Utos" with the title

"Huwag Kang Papatay".

With Rachelle Anne Go and Aicelle Santos enjoying the life in Broadway, Maricris is also willing to try and be part of a musical play, in fact she added that she also auditioned in a Broadway show before but because of tight schedule, she wasn't able to push it through. If she will be given a chance, she would also love to try it and give it a chance.

The Kapuso star feels grateful that she has the opportunity to live out her passion, "I want to let them know that I'm still here and I will always be here, singing." Maricris is also set to release her new album early next year just in time for Valentines Day.

Tickets for "MAR1CR1S" concert are priced at Php 1,800 for VIP, Php 1,300 for Orchestra and Php 800 for Balcony. For inquiries, you may contact 09178508747 or call Teatrino at (02) 741-2949 local 116.

Boyce Avenue with Moira Concert on June 1 at the Araneta Coliseum

Boyce Avenue with Moira Thursday, May 31, 2018

The "Boyce" are coming back! One of the biggest independent bands in the world - BOYCE AVENUE, are coming to the Philippines in MANILA on June 1 at the Araneta Coliseum, CEBU on June 2 at the Waterfront Hotel Ballroom and DAVAO on June 3 at the SMX Convention Center Davao.

Boyce Avenue is comprised of the three Manzano brothers - Alejandro (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Fabian (guitar, vocals) and Daniel (bass, percussion, vocals). The Florida based band was formed in 2004, and in 2007 they started posting videos on YouTube sharing not only their original songs, but also their distinctive acoustic covers with the world. The videos resonated instantly and to date the band's YouTube channel has amassed over 3.7 billion views and over 10.6 million subscribers. On YouTube, the band is ranked above such artists as Justin Timberlake, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Sia, and Imagine Dragons. The brothers have forged a lasting and passionate digital fan base on other platforms as well, with over 3 million Facebook likes and a half million Twitter followers.

The band has also sold in excess of 10 million songs and 1 billion streams and has had the privilege of touring the world several times, selling more than 600,000 tickets in over 30 countries, including most recently, a sold-out show at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London last November 2017.

Joining them on this concert tour is MOIRA, one of today's favorites and one of the breakout stars of 2017 after winning the Himig Handog 2017 with her song "Titibo-Tibo". She has massively increased her popularity and it was her song "Malaya" - theme song from the "Camp Sawi" that made her the movie soundtrack queen of this generation.

Moira Dela Torre shares her excitement over her upcoming concert with her long time inspiration Boyce Avenue, according to Moira, she can't believe she will be sharing the stage with them.

Moira Dela Torre shares that she also wanted to explore acting but maybe someday since she wants to focus more on her singing and explore different genre like RnB as well.

Moira's first two-night concert at the KIA Theatre last February sold out in just a few days.
