After being paired in GMA Network's afternoon teleserye Hanggang Makita Kang Muli, Bea Binene and Derrick Monasterio are paired once again in GMA7's new action-comedy series Tsuper Hero. It's another unique and challenging role both for Bea and Derrick since this is quite on the fantasy-action-comedy side.
Another revelation and good news is that Loveliness herself Ms. Alma Moreno will be part of the series. This marks her return in doing a regular series. She used to do a sitcom in Kapuso Network way back together with the late Rudy Fernandez and Ms. Rosana Roces.
Also part of the cast is no other than Mr. Gabby Concepcion.
During the grand Presscon of Tsuper Hero, most of the cast were present and they were all excited for the action packed with a tinge of comedy series.
Derrick can't hide his excitement for this project because according to him, every actor has this dream of portraying a superhero role and when this was offered to him, he felt really grateful to GMA Network for even considering him to do this. In return, he said he will do his best and assured everyone that Tsuper Hero will be loved by everyone especially the kids who looks up to superheroes as their role model.
There's also an extra effort for him to stay fit so that his costume will look good on him, he said that when he first wore his costume, he felt a bit shy since it was really "fit" and you how superhero costumes fit almost all the body parts but then he grew comfortable after different takes, he actually got the hang of it too.
Bea Binene said that it's always nice to work with Derrick since they've been good friends for quite some time now, they're already used to joking around and when asked if there's a possibility of them being a couple in the future, Bea said "Who Knows, wala pong makakapagsabi.." Their love team #DerBea was formed last 2013 when they were paired in different shows which also include Vampire ang Daddy Ko. For now, they would like to concentrate more on their career.
Both Bea and Derrick had an immersion in this project since Derrick will play as a Jeepney Driver and Bea as a barker. Bea said that she's always thankful that GMA Network always gives her unique and challenging roles wherein she can explore different kinds of roles.
In the series, Derrick will play Nonoy - a naughty jeepney driver who will acquire an extrardinary strength and the ability to teleport while Bea is Eve - playing a 'barker'.
The cast members include Miggs Cuaderno, Betong Sumaya, and Phillip Lazaro among others. Directed by LA Madrilejos (Juan Happy Love Story), the concept of the program is based on Michael V.'s creative imagination.
