Bubble Gang celebrates 22nd Anniversary with Parokya Bente Dos: A Laugh Story Musical

One of my ultimate favorite gag show is Bubble Gang and I can't imagine my Friday nights without this longest running gag show in the Philippine television, honestly speaking, it actually caps my week, after a long and tiring week at work, we all need a break and watch something that will lift off the stress we've been through all week and Bubble Gang clearly wipes it all off with flying colors.
Incelebration of Bubble Gang's 22nd year in the Philippine television, they presented something really worth remembering and spectacular for their loyal viewers and I'm really grateful that I got the chance to watch it live in the studio.
Bubble Gang showcased theatrical presentation which was aired in two parts last November 17 and 24 which was entitled, "Bubble Gang Parokya Bente Dos: A Laugh Story".
The musical evolves around the story of Buloy (Michael V.) who has been deeply in love to the famous actress Birdie (Kim Domingo). He's been a big fan and wanted to get in the showbiz industry so that he can finally meet her in person, however, Birdie has a love team and was paired with Paolo Contis. Unfortunately Buloy didn't get the chance to make it to the final cut of the audition but there are more surprises along his way as he makes his way to the heart of Birdie.
It was evident how much the whole cast of Bubble Gang preapred for this musical and honestly speaking, while watching it LIVE, I felt like I was watching it at PETA. It actually gave me goosebumps specifically Michael V.
He really gave his best to this episode and I love all their rendition of Parokya ni Edgar songs, I'm also a big fan of this band and almost all of their songs were perfectly executed in every scene of this musical, one of my favorites was "Buloy" which is presented by Bitoy,Betong Sumaya, Rodfil and James Obeso and Sef Cadayona. I wish they can do this again and have more audience watch it live once again because not only Bubble Gang fans would enjoy it but also the fans of Parokya ni Edgar. It was indeed a memorable and classic anniversary special of Bubble Gang, one for the books!
Congrats to the whole cast who gave their best to this anniversary special together with the musical arranger Myke Salomon, director Rem Zamora and playwright Vince De Jesus.
