Did you know the new SSS ID is now a Visa debit card you can use for ATM withdrawals and purchases? The new MySSS Card can also be your official SSS ID — and you can apply for it 100% online through the My.SSS portal. Here's how to do it step by step. 👇
The MySSS Card is the new official SSS card that combines:
✅ An SSS functional ID
✅ A Visa/EMV-enabled debit card linked to a partner bank account
✅ An ATM card for cash withdrawals
✅ A payment card for in-store and online purchases
✅The primary disbursement account for future SSS benefits, loans, pensions, and other proceeds
Can you apply online?
Yes. The application starts 100% online through your My.SSS account:
1. Log in to the My.SSS Portal.
2. Go to Services → MySSS Card.
3.Verify your information and complete the identity verification.
4. Choose an SSS partner bank.
5. Finish the bank account opening process as instructed by the partner bank.
Eligibility
To qualify, you generally need to:
* Have a permanent SSS number
* Be registered on the My.SSS Portal
* Have updated contact information
* Be registered in the National ID (PhilSys) system so SSS can verify your identity.
Take Note:
* Your old UMID or previous SSS card remains valid if you already have one.
* The MySSS Card is currently issued through SSS partner banks, with RCBC being the first partner, while additional banks are being added over time.
* Partner banks may charge applicable card or account fees according to their policies.
