iCare Introduces Janine Gutierrez As The New Face of Better Health

Saturday, June 21, 2025

iCare, the best affordable HMO in the Philippines, has launched Janine Gutierrez as its new brand ambassador at St. Luke’s Medical Center, BGC on June 20, 2025.

During the event launch, iCare President and CEO, Geronimo V. Francisco, highlighted the deep impact of healthcare in the lives of many, including him.

At iCare, we don’t just offer health plans. We build safety nets,” Mr. Francisco said. “We create solutions for families, freelancers, businesses for people who are often left behind by traditional models. We keep our pricing sustainable. We partner with trusted providers. And we use technology to make everything simpler and faster because when you’re sick, you shouldn’t have to deal with red tape.”

Mr. Francisco emphasized that choosing Janine Gutierrez as the new brand ambassador aligns with the company’s “hope, dignity, and courage to say yes to better health.” “She is a voice of purpose, and we are honored to have her amplify our message.”

Janine Gutierrez Said Yes
Choosing Janine as the new brand ambassador was not a business decision. Those were acts of alignment.

Ms. Carol V. Dominguez, iCare’s Board Member, and John Clements President and CEO, said that beyond strategy and alignment, it was also something “deeply personal.”

Ms. Dominguez is the sister of the late talent manager Leo V. Dominguez. He was also the founder of LVD Talent Management, which Janine is currently under management of.

My brother, Leo Dominguez, was one of the most respected talent managers in the country. But more than that, he was a man of unwavering principles. He believed in artists with soul…people who had something to say, who led with substance, and who made their craft matter. Janine was one of those artists.”

Mr. Leo was also an iCare member. The most trusted HMO in the Philippines became a significant figure during the well-respected talent manager’s final days. Since then, it has redefined iCare’s mission to show up for people during life’s most meaningful transitions.

To the iCare leadership: thank you. For leading with heart. For standing by our family when we needed it most,” Ms. Dominguez quoted.

And to Janine… I know he’s proud. Of your courage, your clarity, and your voice. You are not just a brand ambassador. You are part of a legacy. One that believes in meaning over marketing. People over personas. Purpose over everything.”

Better Health Sailing in Boracay
10 orange-sailed paraws were first seen sailing in the waters of Boracay on the Araw of Kagitingan, on April 9—an intentional decision to commemorate the courage and strength it takes to prioritize one’s health in today’s world.

Many spectators thought that the paraws were an engagement announcement for Janine Gutierrez. Despite it not being an expected romantic plot twist, it was something more grounded and life-changing.

Mr. Francisco noted that it was not a love story, but a “life story.”

At iCare, our mission is simple but urgent — to provide affordable and accessible HMO solutions that empower every Filipino to say yes to better health. We want individuals and companies to know that with iCare, quality care doesn’t have to come with a heavy cost.”

iCare's Growth Story
According to the Insurance Commission’s recent data in the first quarter of 2025, iCare placed third in having the highest net income with P104.302 million, which was a 210.89% increase of P33.55 million from the year earlier.

iCare championed innovation through its investments in technology including a user-friendly mobile app, modernized core systems, an e-commerce channel, and recently the development of its telemedicine consultation, Telemed7.

Thank you for believing in our mission. For helping us grow not just in size, but in impact,” Mr. Francisco said.
