From commercials, VTR's and Auditions, Gillian Vicencio's dream came true when she was included in the movie “EERIE” starring BEA ALONZO and CHARO SANTOS CONCIO. She played the role of Erika SAYCO, the child who haunts the school where the story of the movie revolves, Gillian shared that "When this was being done, I was not included in the promos, guestings and whatnot so as not to lose the element of fear in the film and that's why a NEW ARTIST was also hired for the said role".

From here, projects gradually came one after the other and Gillia became a household name and she was very in demand because of her sheer talent. It's also a plus factor that Gillian starred with no less than Bea Alonzo and the one and only Ms. Charo Santos. 

Anither Horror film immediately followed entitled, "Hellcome home" with Dennis Trillo, Alyssa Muhlach, Raymond Bagatsing and Beauty Gonzalez.

Gillian Vicencio is among the STARMAGIC Batch 2019 that was launched together with Belle Mariano, Anthony Jennings, Jeremiah Lisbo, JC Alcantara and Kyle Echarri. Later on she was also launched as one of the pioneer artists of RISE ARTISTS STUDIO under the helm of MICO Del Rosario from STAR CREATIVES.

In the year 2020, Gillian was one of the affected artist when pandemic hit the country due to COVID-19 and also the big blow to ABS-CBN when the Kapamilya Network lost its franchise. A lot of people lost their jobs and most artists didn't know where to start. Gillian shared, "Siyempre po natakot ako, kami kasi kaka-pirma lang naming ng kontrata tapos ganun yung nangyayari that time pero binigyan naman kami ng assurance ng management na hindi nila kami pababayaan. Nandiyan yung mga digital shows naming everyday kung saan nahasa din kami sa hosting at naipa-pakilala namin ang sarili namin sa ibang mga artist and ang dami naming nakaka-panayam sa program na 'WE RISE TOGETHER' (an online talk show hosted by Rise Artists). She added, “Tuloy-tuloy din nung time na yun ang mga WORKSHOPS Online para hindi kami ma-tengga at mangalawanag. Actually kung iisipin nga ang laking tulong para sa mga ginagawa namin ngayon kasi parang equipped kami sa mga present project na meron ngayon kaya VERY THANKFUL ako/kami."

Gillian is also known for her remarkable performance in the film, "FOUR SISTERS BEFORE THE WEDDING" where she was with Alexa Ilacad, Charlie Dizon and Belle Mariano. She played the role of Alex previously played by ANGEL LOCSIN. Many people noticed her portrayal because viewers believed that she was really like a young version of Angel Locsin. 

Despite the pandemic, the screening of the said pre-quel of the film continued and it was released via ONLINE CINEMA. Many people noticed that she is very versatile and can very well portray any given role. She is indeed one of the best talents of ABS-CBN and now gaining more recognition.

Gillian's projects followed one after the other which were also looked forward to and followed by fans, "KARGO", a thriller/drama film which was aired last January 6, 2023 on NETFLIX and also a top viewer's choice. She was also praised for giving her best even though she was a neophyte, acting side by side with veteran actress Rio Locsin. This was then followed by a digital series and movie during the peak of the BL theme in the industry, she was also included in "HELLO STRANGER" and acted as the girlfriend of the character of TONY LABRUSCA who is one of the main leads of the said series and movie.

Gillian Vicencio was even more loved in the SERIES "2good to be true" where she played boyish friend named Tox with Matt Evans, and Yves Flores who are close friends of Daniel Padilla's character as Eloy. Here she got more attention because of her unique performance. She gained more fans because of her tandem with Yves Flores, making them a kilig pair, this was where RETOX was formed. 

After the series, the two of them followed the project Retox 2be continued which was also anticipated by their fans. Gillian said she is thankful because the chemistry that people and even the production saw between them and Yves was unexpected, they were also surprised and happy that they were able to have a follow up story so that their fans will enjoy more of their partnership. The two became close because they agreed on many things and they are very comfortable working with one another. 

Part of being an artist in the Entertainment industry is judgment and criticism. Almost all of the artists have experienced intrigues and shortcomings especially when they are already at the peak of their careers. But as they always say, whether it's negative or positive news, it is still publicity. 

Gillian Vicencio is one of the most talked about name at the end of 2023, it was indeed one of her most challenging time. According to her, she was shocked that her name keeps popping up even though she was clueless about what was going on, instead of being stressed about it, she focussed on work. It was a challenge to have a peace of mind but with the help of her family and friends, she regained her positive outlook in life. What she learned from this experience is that whether she remain silent or not, people will always have a say about something, not many people know you personally and will always try to judge you, it's up to you on how you will handle the situation and where you will focus your energy. She really just wants to focus on her career and be the best that she can be.

Gillian kick-starts 2024 

It's only February of 2024 and yet Gillian is very grateful for the continous trust and opportunities coming her way. Since 2024 started, she is busy with projects like the theater play, "KUMPRONTASYON" that had a theatrical run last January 18,19,20 and 21 at PETA THEATER.

She started being part of the theater in 2023 and because of rave reviews about her performance, it wa simmediately followed by another project. 

This 3 part play includes experienced theater actors and even her co-actor in the series 2good to be true Romnick Sarmenta was also in the play, it is directed by Melvin Lee. This will surely be not the last time you will see her in a theater play, there will be more in the future.

Another big blessing that came her way is being part of the Beautèderm family. Gillian is now part of the Beautèderm Babies of Ms. Rei Tan. Most of their endorsers were A-listers in the industry and are top caliber actors, actress, influencers in the country. She was being eyed by Ms. Rei eversince she was part of 2good series and Four Sisters Movie. Gillian shared, “Sobrang masaya kasi first endorsement ko ito, nakakatuwa na kahit baguhan at hindi pa ako ganoong kakilala ay nasama at pinag katiwalaan ako ni Mommy Rei kasi nga mga A-LISTERS ang mga ARTISTA sa Beautederm.” She already did a photoshoot and might have a billboard of her own soon! 

There's more to look forward about Gillian Vicencio and one of them is the newest Filipino adaptation "Whats wrong with Secretary Kim" starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino under Dreamscape at VIU. Many people are anticipating this project because it is also a popular KOREAN SERIES enjoyed by the viewers especially the supporters of Korean Drama which is starred by Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young. 

Gillian will be paired again with Yves Flores and they have also started taping and doing photo shoots for the series which will be aired soon. 

From TV Series to Film, Gillian is also excited with the upcoming SLASHER/MASSCRE Film entitled "TALAHIB". Also part of the film were Kristoff Garcia and Joem Bascon, directed by Alvin Yapan under FEAST Foundation. They have already finished filming and is now wating for the target release date. They are also hoping that it will be shown to International Film Fests. 

Gillian shared that she was very thankful that she was casted for this project because when she learned that the director of this film was the one who directed Culion and Oro, and his works are often included in various award giving bodies such as the Carlos Palanca award, Cairo international film festival and Chicago international film fest and even at the Gawad Urian, she really wanted to be part of this film no matter what happens. 

Gillian is indeed ready to conquer more of what is in store for her this 2024. She is not holding back and is much stronger, wiser and have a more positive outlook in life compared to her past self. With the help of the people who loves and believes in her plus her loyal fans who stayed despite of everything, she is beyond grateful.
