Kapuso actress and former Binibining Pilipinas Universe Bianca Manalo has been the talk of the town lately, even to the point of being labeled as "Politician Hunter" since she has been linked with prominent politicians like his former partner Antique Mayor Jonathan Tan and later on, in December 2019, Bianca confirmed to the late entertainment columnist Ricky Lo that she and Senator Sherwin Gatchalian  have been together for more than a year already after being spotted numerous time spending quality time together. After the said confession, they were seen everywhere and were even spotted at public events like the GMA Gala night in 2022. 

While some wishes her the best of luck in finding true love, some think of her connections to these politicians may seem a little off and can be a sign that she is dating powerful men because she also wanted to be treated in a pedestal through political connections. 

Although politics and showbiz has always been linked because most of the people in the entertainment industry ended up marrying politicians one way or the other, in Manalo's case though, she's been scrutinized for dating one politician after another which made some raise their eyebrows. Bianca's personal life has not been a major topic until she started dating politicians which caught the public eye. She was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Universe in 2009 and later on became active in showbiz where she made a handful of projects in ABS CBN and her recent was The Broken Marriage Vow.

Just this year, Manalo and Gatchalian went to Europe which also made people speculate if the two are already engaged. The 49 year old Senator said that he is not getting any younger and it might happen soon or who knows. This only proves that up until now, they are still on the spotlight and the public is still on the look out of what will happen next. 

The reputation of Manalo as a "Politician Hunter", is not just an issue about how the entertainment industry is always linked to politics, but how at times it is negatively associated for opportunism, a stepping stone or may be a source of steady income for those who wanted to be relevant for a period of time as they say. These are some of things being tied up to a showbiz personality when linked to a politician but whatever the reason behind it, if their conscience is clear then there shouldn't be an issue to begin with.
