The Clash Alumni Jennifer Maravilla & Psalms David releases their new single 'Alimuom' and 'Ride' under GMA Music

Two The Clash alumni releases their newest single under GMA Music. This is something to look forward to this 2023 since the Music industry is finally going back to normal after a two year hiatus since the pandemic. The much-awaited songs by Jennifer Maravilla and Psalms David will surely make their supporters happy plus this will give them a head start in their future projects.

Jeniffer Maravilla hails from Malabon. She was known for joining the second season of 'The Clash' where she placed third. Jeremiah Tiangco was crowned as the season's grand winner. 

Jennifer's debut single "Alimuom" reached the number two spot on iTunes Philippines on its release this February 3.

The track is an inspiring song with soulful instrumentals that evoke a cultural vibe.

"Ang 'Alimuom' kasi, 'yun 'yung umuusbong after the rain, it symbolizes rain. Nung pinarinig sa akin 'yung demo ng song, na-feel ko sobrang unique ng kanta na ito. Ang timely niya rin sa nagdaan na pandemic, despite all the hardships at the end of the day, sa mga tao hindi nawawala 'yung pagiging hopeful."

She added, "I think 'yung kagustuhan kong mag-release ng ganitong klaseng genre is simula pa nung The Clash days ko pa. Doon ko na-realize na ang ganda siguro kung nakakarinig tayo sa radyo ng mga tunog at instrumental na sariling atin. Kasi medyo ganoon ang in-incorporate namin dito sa kanta talaga. Na-enjoy ko 'yung process ng paggawa ng song na ito."

Jennifer also enjoyed her acting stint via Historical TV Series Maria Clara at Ibarra.

Psalms David joined The Clash in 2018, in this batch Golden Cañedo won. But even if Psalms didn't win The Clash, he has definitely come a long way. 

Aside from writing songs, Psalms also sees himself producing them and is passionate about all these music-related creative processes. He has the certain rhythm in him that makes his songs really worth listening especially if you're on a road trip like his latest single, "Ride" which will be released today February 10. 

According to Psalms, he would love to create more songs in the future and eventually do collaborations with his fellow Clash members like Jennifer Maravilla. He knows that this is just a start of a more fruitful journey ahead of him and he wishes those who also joined The Clash to never stop dreaming and pursuing their dreams because one day, it will surely come true and their hardwork will definitely pay off.
