Hotel de Oriente

There will always be something fascinating about visiting historical places, once you visit a heritage site, you will be immersed and uncover the stories that historical places have to tell. They connect us to the past. Through visiting these places where history occurred we find our roots. History allows us to feel like we are part of something much bigger. It humbles us because we've come so far and lastly, they connect us to our very own culture. By seeing places from the past in other areas, we are able to relate to those people who lived in that era.

Casa Byzantina
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar was named Best Historic Hotel in Asia and the Pacific last November 2021 by Historic Hotels Worldwide, and there's no denying how this award fits this 400-hectare heritage landmark nestled in Bagac, Bataan.

This massive structure was constructed in 2010 by no less than founder and owner Mr. Jerry Acuzar who was very hands on in the intricate designs of each house, maintaining and restoring by Mr. Acuzar himself along with a team of researchers, builders and artisans to make each of these once abandoned houses from different parts of the Philippines come back to life again in its glory days.

Casa Hagonoy
Casa Ladrillo

From the twenty-seven preserved casas, thirteen are currently available as accommodation for the overnight stay; While the remaining 14 casas served as a museum of memorabilia of the mansions former owners. The architecture and landscape of Las Casas Filipinas combined traditional and modern themes, featuring designs similar to European architecture, around the Estero de Binondo.

Together with the preserved heritage houses is the array of recreational activities to entertain visitors and at the same time showcase the beauty of the Philippine’s rich culture.

Casa Bulacan

To fully appreciate the beauty of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, you need to know the story behind each of the casas which is why it is very recommendable to join the Heritage Tour where a tour guide will be giving in-depth insights about the history of each home, and as well as the other major Spanish influences brought to the country. In this tour, guests will also be greeted with an abundance of Filipino customs and traditions through performances, games, and even horse-drawn carriage rides.

Hotel de Oriente
Sanctuario de San Jose
Las Casas is also the home of many memorable weddings and other special gatherings. Here you can book a one of a kind occasion with a historical ambiance.

Hotel De Oriente is based on the original Hotel de Oriente in Binondo—the first premier hotel in the country and the second building in the Philippines to have a telephone. The replica in Las Casas was built in 2013. It has two large halls that can accommodate 1,000 persons and four function rooms named after locales of Old Manila.

The Balsa Tour is also a must-try activity, visitors can check out other historical casas that cannot be reached on foot, making them appreciate the artworks and other intricate designs while riding a balsa that will cross across the river.

Casa Jaen
You will also enjoy delectable Filipino dishes at the different restaurants at Las Casas. There are also International Cuisine if you opt to try a new selection plus some wine as well if you want to cap off the night.

You can also visit the beach either by morning before you have a massive buffet breakfast or a night and be amazed by the night lights around the area.

Paseo de Escolta
The Studio type loft room at Paseo Escolta is perfect for family or friends who will stay at Las Casas. The comfy bed will surely relax you after a whole day of trip and walking at cobblestone pavements and basking in the heat of the sun enjoying the beach or the scenic surroundings.

All in all, the experience at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is truly worthwhile. I would definitely be back and savor again this memorable experience.
