ARA MINA top bills KATOK, A HORROR Film Exclusive at AQ PRIME Stream

It's the time of the year again when scare fest is much more active and booming because of Halloween and what better way to enjoy this season than to binge watch Horror flicks!

Their latest offering is KATOK starring Ara Mina, Soliman Cruz, Yñigo Delen, Joyce Javier, Mia Aquino. Directed by Joven Tan.
Katok tells the story of a so-called haunted house where Ara Mina who plays Romina, a caregiver will be serving an old man played by award winning veteran actor Soliman Cruz. For the past years, nobody stayed long because they believe the house is haunted. Before she can enter the room of the old man, she should knock thrice. There's a haunting line in the trailer, "Maraming takot sa patay, pero mas nakaka-takot ang buhay. Maraming nata-takot sa bahay na ito, gusto nilang tuklasin kung totoo ang kwento. Sa tingin mo ba may KATOK ako?"

According to Ara Mina, she loves doing horror films, she has done two Shake, Rattle and Roll film in the past and she enjoys the process of creating the film. During the shoot of Katok, Ara and Direk Joven shared that they experienced some paranormal scenarios,"may isa kaming eksena na may biglang gumanun na kamay wala naman tao sa side na yun, lahat nasa side namin then may isa pa biglang nalaglag yung frame." There are also time that Ara felt a little cold and heavy as if someone is on her back. Direk Joven shared that the role was perfect for Ara and was meant for her.
Ara Mina surely has come a long way from being launched in the past as a sexy actress. She has won several Best Actress Award, she's a successful business woman now, owning a cafe, Hazelberry which is celebrating its 5th anniversary today. She is also happily married with businessman Dave Almarinez, they went to Hungary recently for a honeymoon.
Ara, who manages to balance her time since she also has a 7 year old daughter Amanda, also shares that she will have another film soon and a series soon. After Ang Probinsyano, she manages to get amazing offers although she said she doesn't accept projects with "intimate scenes or sexy scenes" anymore. She wishes to do a role of a "schizo" or something challenging as that since she has done several roles in the past. She also dreams of doing a Rom-Com film because she has never done it before. If she can choose a leading man, she would definitely choose Piolo Pascual or a foreigner, saying "para level up naman".
Ara also did a flashback on her pa-sexy days comparing it to the present and also giving her advice to budding actress who wishes to stay longer in the entertainment industry.
