SYLVIA SANCHEZ bags Best Actress Award for JESUSA at the Gabi ng Parangal of Sinag Maynila 2019

Last April 7, Sinag Maynila held their Gabi ng Parangal 2019 and at this momentous occasion, Ms. Sylvia Sanchez won Best Actress ward for her film entry full length category "JESUSA".
Jesusa, a barren woman comes to her wit’s end when her philandering husband moves in with his latest mistress. Left only with her stepdaughters, she succumbs to the sordid ways of the neighborhood drug addicts.
As always, Ms. Sylvia Sanchez always deliver her 101% when it comes to her projects, she goes way beyond what is expected of her and there's always something new with every role she gets. JESUSA was first offered to Ms. Nora Aunor but according to the superstar's camp, her schedule won't permit her to do the film which is why it landed to Ms. Sylvia Sanchez.
It's quite a blessing in disguise because this film gave her a Best Actress award from Sinag Maynila. According to interviews, Ms. Sylvia doesn't mind being the second choice for the film because it's still Nora Aunor ans to be the second choice after the Superstar is an honor for her and she also enjoyed doing the film, there's a lot of learning she said.
JESUSA mirrors the reality of how the country needs to continuously fight against drugs. Jesusa is still a family movie but in a more depressing way, on how we should never neglect our love ones and how realistic Ms. Sylvia portrayed her role, she truly deserve the Best Actress award.
