Golden Cañedo released her first original single 'TAYO PA RIN' under GMA Music

Golden Cañedo, a native of Minglanilla, Cebu was the first ever grand champion of "The Clash", a singing competition at GMA Network. Golden bested 61 other contestants and some are not just amateurs when it comes to singing.
“The Clash” was hosted by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez. Judges in the competition were Christian Bautista, Lani Misalucha, and Ai-Ai delas Alas.
The Grade 10 student still pursues her studies even though she has been very busy ever since she won The Clash. She is now under GMA Artist Center and aside from doing several shows, she is also part of the top rating musical show STUDIO 7. Just last month, Golden received the Most Promising Female Singing Performer Award from National Customer's Choice Annual Awards 2019.
Aside from this, Golden was tapped to be the voice behind Magpakailanman's theme song which was previously sung by Kyla.
And it doesn't stop there, Golden Cañedo’s first original single, “Tayo Pa Rin,” was finally released last March 30, 2019 on GMA Music’s YouTube channel.

Golden shared that the song is all about Long Distance Relationship. Tayo Pa Rin is more on the pop side genre of music and most people have been used to her singing ballad and birit songs which is why is this is something new to her although she can very well sing any kind of genre. Later this year, she will be releasing her full album with more ballad and love songs.
Tayo Pa Rin's music video is already up via GMA Music's YouTube Channel and it features Golden and Kapuso actor Nikki Co.
Golden has been receiving many messages that she looks and sings like Sarah Geronimo, according to her, it was a big compliment because she's a big fan of Sarah Geronimo, although she haven't meet her, she wishes that one day she will have a chance to meet her and may be sing with her as well. She added that she is an inspiration to all of them who just started in the music industry.
Golden will be celebrating her 17th birthday this April and all she wishes for is good health for her and her family plus her continuous success. She shared that her dreams are finally coming true and she is very thankful to GMA Network and to the people who are supporting her since day one.
