The Clash First Ever Grand Champion Golden Cañedo & the Top 5 signs contract with GMA Artist Center

Months ago, the young and talented hopefuls of The Clash singing battle were merely just hoping to showcase their talents in singing without knowing what the future holds for them, now, after battling with different amateur singers in the country, the first ever grand champion of The Clash was revealed together with the Top 5.

The Top 5 finalists of The Clash were Jong Madaliday, Anthony Rosaldo, Mirriam Manalo, Garrett Bolden and Josh Adornado. 

Golden Cañedo is the first-ever 'The Clash' champion

Hailing from Cebu, the youngest finalist sang "Ngayon" by George Canseco and quickly earned the admiration of judges.

Apart from boasting rights — she's the first-ever The Clash champion — Golden took home over P4 million worth of prizes including a house and lot, a contract with GMA, and 
P1 million.

During the BlogCon of the Top 5, namely  Jong Madaliday, Anthony Rosaldo, Mirriam Manalo, Garrett Bolden and Josh Adornado, they shared how The Clash changed their lives, they've become braver to conquer their dreams of becoming an all out performer and they're ready to showcase their strengths when it comes to singing. They also feel happy for Golden who emerged as the grand champion of The Clash saying that they are one big family in The Clash, although all of them are very competitive, they also support one another.

The Top 5 will surely enjoy their journey together with Golden because they recently signed a contract with GMA Artist Center. Together with the final five, Golden will be given a role in a new musical variety show on GMA 7 "Studio 7. 

Golden Cañedo shared her happiness of being the first ever grand champion of The Clash saying, "Sobrang saya ko po talaga na di ko po ini-expect, hanggang ngayon di pa din nag sink in sa akin lahat ng nangyayari pero thankful po talaga ako na unti unti ng natutupad mga pangarap ko po." Golden is also thankful to all her supporters from Cebu since she is a Cebuano, since day 1, they've been very supportive of her up until the end, they continuously share advice to her as well that she won't change.

Apart from her prizes as the champion of The Clash, Golden Cañedo will also be busy with her new show. She is part of the newest variety show in GMA Network "Studio 7" which will showcase her talent in singing and dancing as well. Golden also shared her experience on the grand night of the competition, it was for her an overwhelming experience seeing all her supporters, her family and the mentors, she felt like she just wanted to give her all which is what happened and the rest is history.

Golden Cañedo is also geared to be an actress as she portrays herself in Magpakailanman, aside from singing , she also wanted to try acting but she shared that her passion and first love will always be singing. 

Lastly, Golden also receive an advice from the one and only Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. She said that Ms. Regine advised her to always take care of her voice and more importantly, always be humble, no matter what happens, keep your feet on the ground and look back to where you came from, be grateful.

Aside from the Top 5, there were also the other contenders who didn't make it to the finals night but since they too are very talented, they also signed a contract with GMA Artist Center. They are Danielle Ozaraga, Esterlina Olmedo, Kyryll Ugdiman, Lyra Micolob, Melbelline Caluag, Mika Gorospe, Jasmine Fitsgerald, Bryan Chong, Murielle Lomadilla and Psalms David.
