Exes Baggage, the first offering of ABS-CBN Films' Black Sheep, is the reunion project of the CarGel love team.
Real life ex-lovers Carlo and Angelica previously worked with each other in the Kapamilya TV show Berks (2003). Known to fans together as CarGel, a combination of their first names, they were lovers for six years before calling it quits. In an interview, Carlo even said Angelica could have been the one.
From real to reel, they star in “Exes Baggage” about two heartbroken people who find solace in one another. Their onscreen chemistry is very natural because they were really "ex-lovers" in real life, there's natural closeness between the two without much effort in it.
“Exes Baggage” may be rom-com movie, but it offers new insight on love and relationships.
This is why it's no surprise that Exes Baggage reached Php 270 million, a box office hit!
After the big success of Exes Baggage, will there be a sequel for this movie? or another movie for CarGel?
Because of the success of their onscreen tandem, fans and viewers were expecting a lot from the onscreen and ex-lovers, will they be getting back together?Is there a chance that they might get back together again?
Aside from Exes Baggage, Angelica Panganiban is also busy with Play House, a Kapamilya teleserye in the morning with Zanjoe Marudo. Carlo Aquino will be guesting in Play House and from time to time they have scenes together, but, is Carlo getting jealous of Zanjoe and Angelica's closeness?
When asked if which version of Carlo Aquino does she likes best now, is it before when they are teens or now? Angelica answered swiftly with "Ngayon, mas gwapo sya ngayon.." She even described Carlo as "Yummy".
Even the OST of Exes Baggage, "Maybe the Night" by Ben & Ben is also a massive hit which is perfect for the movie.
