Be A HERO! Join the 100 Years of Inspiring People Fundraising Cycling Event on October 21!

For only a 100 minutes of your time, you can be one of the heroes that will help eradicate polio worldwide and help treat rare diseases of children in the Philippines. Join the fundraising cyclcing event, "100 Years of Inspiring People" on October 21, 6 in the morning at Arco Via C-5 Pasig.

Since Rotary took on the fight against polio in 1985, they are now close to eradicating it with only four countries battling this disease - Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and recently emerged again in Papua New Guinea. Like polio in its early years, Rotary would also like to give attention to the rare diseases that go unoticed in the country like Maple Urine Disease and Hunter's Disease by supporting Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders (PSOD).
Together with Rotary International District 3780, let us all embark on a ride to raise funds for these causes, this is in celebration of Rotary's 100 years of transforming lives in the Philippines and World Poilio day.
100 Years of Inspiring People is the brainchild of Rotary International District Governor Pastor "Mar" Reyes. "We need to honor the good deeds Rotary has done in the Philippines in the past century. We need to celebrate the gargantuan effort of Rotary to eradicate polio worldwide, which started in the Philippines. We also need to recognize that despite the 99.9% eradication, there is the elusive and difficult .1% job to be finished. Through these celebrations, we inspire Rotarians, communities and partners-in-service to remain resolute and focussed in continuing our service to humanity in the next century."

100 Years of Inspiring People will be composed of three activities:
100 km
20-30 cyclists composed of celebrities, professional athletes and Rotarians will bike from The Villages, Clark to ArcoVia City in Pasig City. Confirmed celebrity is Ervic Vijandre of GMA Network, professional athletes are Philippine Team and Sea Games medalist Jan Paul Morales, Jermyn Prado, Marella Salamat, George Oconer, Jerry Aquino Jr., Ej Flores and Luis Krog. Rotarians from D3780 are as follows: IP Jon Ferrer, TGP Rene Canlas, PP Roland Portes, PE Val George Mendoza, TGP Rey Sonico and PP Mark Reyes.

Cyclists both Rotarians and non-Rotarians will ride for 100 minutes around ArcoVia City.

Amazing Race
Trivias and physical challenges will be set up in 15 stations around ArcoVia City for non-cyclists including children.

Prize: 1,000 each winning team
Gun start of the 100KM cyclists will be at 5am. Their ride will be simultaneous with the program in ArcoVia which will start at 6am. The program will also include cardio blast and walk. There will also be booths for food and different products for everyone to enjoy.
