The Hopeful Romantic Movie Review & Premiere Night Highlights starring Pepe Herrera & Ritz Azul

The Hopeful Romantic finally had their red carpet premiere at Trinoma and it was attended by the whole cast together with some of their celebrity friends to support the film.

Check out what the cast together with Direk Topel Lee has to say before the premiere of the movie started. They're all excited to watch the film together and at the same time, they're also inviting everyone to watch the film.

The story evolves on Jess (Pepe Herrera), a 33 year old Valet Parking Attendant at The Manila Hotel, an honest man, no girlfriend since birth and most of all, a virgin. He promised himself that he will only give himself when he already found his true love.

Meet Veronica (Ritz Azul), or Nicky, or Ashley. A kept woman in the high society world. A victim of circumstances, but still a survivor. All she wants is to get back to her former life in Australia, a life that was stolen away from her.

Because of Jess’ honesty, he was given a reward when he returned a guest’s bag full of money; a three night stay at the Manila Hotel, a shopping spree, 300,000 pesos in cash, among others. Living like a king for three days, Jess never knew that the event would forever change his life.

On the first night, he meets Veronica at the hotel bar. Instantly, he gets mesmerized by her presence. One thing lead to another, and Veronica gave Jess the “first time”. Jess, believing in the magic of what happened between them, decides that Veronica is his one true love.

However, there is one problem; Veronica has no idea that he is not rich. Afraid that revealing himself will make him lose Veronica, Jess starts to pretend the part. He kept on doing this until his resources spill away.

The inevitable happens, and Veronica learns the truth about Jess. Jess has nothing else but himself to prove his love for Victoria despite all the deception that he perpetuated in order to get into her world.

When it comes to Rom-Com films, the film industry has definitely produced a lot of it for the past year and why? simply because it really has a market, more and more people loves these kind of stories because it is "relatable" and they love all the hugot lines that they can possibly get from the film, for The Hopeful Romantic, the attack is quite different, it will not only tackle love and relationship in the most unexpected way but it will also tickle your imagination with some comedic antics that some are quite bold and for adults only but I have to commend both Pepe Herrera and Ritz Azul for portraying their roles quite perfectly, the humor is there plus I love all the shots of Ritza Azul in the film, she really looks stunning which also compliments her role.

The supporting cast Nikko Natividad, Rafael Sudayan, Wacky Kiray and Alora Sasam gave more color to the film, they have this funny lines that made the film more realistic not to mention Beverly Salviejo and Bodgie Pascua were also super funny in the film, they're the typical parents who just can't get enough of their son and each other even at their age which is cute and rather inspiring though.
