The Lease is a psycho-horror drama about a family leasing a villa filled with secrets. Starring Ruben Maria Soriquez, Garie Concepcion, Edmund Santiago, Jil Demski, and Harvey Almoneda, the film is based on the novel by Mario Alaman and is directed by Paolo Bertola.

Garie Concepcion shared that this is her very first movie and she is excited that she was able to portray a role that is challenging for her since the movie is a psycho-horror. She also got a lot of praises from her role even comparing her from her father Gabby Concepcion saying that she is very professional with her work.
Garie also shared her sentiments about being part of an indie film saying that she wishes people will give them a chance and watch the movie since it really is a good movie showcasing good visuals and effects plus a nice plot as well. She wishes that they will have more cinemas so that they can share how much effort and hard work they did for the movie so that people will be able to appreciate it.

Another actor in the movie is Ruben Maria Soriquez, he is also a co-producer of the film. He has done several acting stints in the Philippines including Dolce Amore where he played Liza Soberano's Father. It was only in 2014 when he moved to the country together with his Filipina wife Lanie and began producing films under his company See Thru Pictures.
He took a filmmaking course organized by the New York Film Academy in Florence, Italy in 2007 and studied scriptwriting and editing in New York.
The movie, The Lease is written by Mario Alaman. The movie was shot at Tagaytay where they featured a Santorini inspired villa. The movie will be later on screened in different countries aside from the Philippines.
