Alexander Lee collaborates with Marucci, releases new single Keep Ya Head Up

South Korean Singer and Actor Alexander Lee who is former member of KPOP group U-KISS is back here in Manila to promote his new songs in collaboration with Korean Singer and Rapper Marucci. The My Korean Jagiya star was welcomed with open arms by his fans and is now ready to promote their latest songs.
Alexander and Marucci will be promoting their newest single entitled ‘Keep Ya Head Up’ Their duo called AXM will be producing songs that can inspire and cheer up their listeners. Alexander shares that although he enjoyed acting, he also wanted to showcase his other side where he became famous first which is singing and dancing. Alexander said that going back to singing and dancing made him feel like he's that "old" because when he first performed here in the Philippines back when he was still a member of U-KISS, it was years ago and he was a little younger, now he compared how he performs and he feels tired instantly sometimes but he always enjoyed performing no matter what.
Alexander and Marucci shared that "Keep Ya Head Up" is somehow an inspirational song for everyone to keep their head up and never back down, always strive hard and never lose hope. They know Filipinos will love the song since Filipinos are known to be resilient.
Another song part of collaboration is S.M.N. which is an upbeat and hip hop song that will make everyone dance to their feet, their dance step for the song is actually easy to follow which is why everyone would enjoy dancing to this as well just like any other KPOP songs that hit the mainstream market.
Alexander Lee also sung his his own song at the launch, he also mentioned that while he will be busy promoting his songs and collaboration with Marucci, he is welcoming acting projects as well just like his guesting at GMA Network's "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko" where he will be paired with no less than Dudsmash Queen Maine Mendoza. He described Maine as a bubbly and nice person who is very professional at work.
Alexander also mentioned that he gets the chance to bond with his co-star Heart Evangelista when they went to Korea, they went to some places in Korea together with her husband Chiz, although he knows Heart went though a very sad phase in her life, he knows Heart is a strong and good person and that she will overcome the trials in her life.
When asked about Alexander Lee's relationship status, he mentioned that he is still enjoying life as is and he is not really in a hurry to fall in love and get married. He wishes that when the times comes he is fully ready to commit and spend the rest of his life with that person.
Marucci also had a collaboration with GMA Artist Center star Rita Daniela, according to Marucci, he personally handpicked Rita because of her amazing voice and naturally, the song came out just perfectly.
Rita Daniela will be part of “Eto Na! Musikal nAPO!” which follows a ragtag group of college students hard at work to win a singing and songwriting competition in the 1970s. They go through joy and heartbreak as they come of age, told through the songs of Danny Javier, Jim Paredes, and Boboy Garrovillo, who won millions over with saccharine harmonies, sweet lyrics, and boyish charm.
The musical is penned by director Robbie Guevara. 9Works Theatrical and Globe Live have gathered a talented cast to bring the show to life. Actor Mark Bautista stars as the group’s chief lyricist Rick, who is also the boyfriend of Anna, played by Rita Daniela.
The musical will go on stage at Maybank Performing Arts Theater, Bonifacio Global City, on August 3-5, 10-12, 17-19 and 24-26, 8 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. For tickets, contact Ticketworld at 891.9999.
