Back-to-Back Boy Band: TOP and JBK of GMA Artist Center

We all know how talented Filipinos are and when it comes to singing, there are many ways to hit the popularity mark. One of them is to be part of a boy band or a singing group. Just recently, GMA Artist Center held a Bloggers Conference for their singers. TOP and JBK were present to showcase what they've got and also the latest updates about them.
We've seen boy bands come and go and the only way to distinguish them from the rest is by their certain gimiks or their looks and get up. When it comes to the Philippine scene, there have been some successful boy bands and groups who made their own name and history, what makes the latest boy band sensation from GMA Top One Project different from the rest? They have a combination of PERSEVERANCE, SHEER TALENT & their DREAMS to make it to the TOP.
It's been two years since the group was formed and after having an album, a concert and winning 2016 PMPC Star Awards for Music and TV for Best Duo/Group of the Year Award, there's no stopping TOP from making more music and sharing it to everyone.

Some of the members have been busy trying out acting aside from singing, just like Adrian Pascual who had a stint on Imbestigador and other GMA Networks shows, Joshua Jacobe on the other hand is also busy hosting some GMA Network special events. Miko, Mico and Louie are all centered on making music and at times were busy composing their songs.
TOP shared some details regarding their newest single "Nasa Dulo", the song’s lyrics were written by Louie Pedroso, Mico Cruz, Joshua Jacobe, and Adrian Pascual. Miko Manguba is the one who arranged, mixed, and produced the song.
The boys shared their new album will also be featuring more original tracks. According to Miko, “Mostly [the songs] are original, may upbeat songs din po, and hopefully matuloy din po ‘yung collaboration namin with another GMA artist.”
Louie added, “'Yung past album namin it was from different writers, different compositions, ito ‘yung opportunity namin.” Louie also said that they’ve been finding the balance between considering their band’s market and their own personal tastes. “Iba iba po ‘yung genre talaga kasi kinunsider namin ‘yung market and ‘yung personal taste namin.”
“Nasa Dulo” is now available for download and streaming on Spotify, iTunes, and over 180 digital stores worldwide.
They are still struggling to make a name in the country, but vocal trio JBK took a leap of faith and traveled for 24 hours across the globe with one goal in mind – to be the first boy band to bring the Filipino brand of music to the audiences abroad.
JBK composed of Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario, and Kim Ordonio won the respects of professionals, fellow artists, and music enthusiasts when they auditioned at the X-Factor UK. They performed their own rendition of Sam Smith’s ‘Lay Me Down.’ The vocal trio’s performance is currently one of the most watched videos on The X Factor UK’s official YouTube channel with over a million views and counting.
JBK started out as an OPM boy band in 2014 and became a social media sensation for its a cappella cover videos of Filipino, Indonesian, Japanese, and Malaysian songs. The vocal group released an independent album a year after it won a reality singing search in the same year. After their appearance in Willie Revillame's Wowowin show where joined the Wheel of Fortune segment, the trio has been invited to do some guesting to the shows and the rest was history.

Their recent single "Letting you go" was a big hit after being used in GMA Network Koreanovela The Romantic Doctor.
JBK is currently being handled by GMA Artist Center, they will have more tv guestings and regional shows via GMA Network plus an album soon. They want to try different kinds of genre when it comes to music but they also love to sing ballad and romantic songs. Aside from this, Joshua Bulot is not only busy being a member of JBK but he is also into theater, he's been part of the award winning play "Rak of Aegis" and he will reprise his role again soon as it will be back onstage.
Now that JBK will be busy even more busy on their showbiz career, do they have celebrity crushes? Kim shared his crush is Bianca Umali, while Bryan is Julie Anne San Jose and Joshua mentioned his celebrity crushes are Rhian Ramos and Solenn Heussaff.
