SYLVIA SANCHEZ: Up Close and Personal with Sonya of Hanggang Saan

I am always grateful and thankful that I am able to meet and interview some of my favorite actors and actress in the showbiz industry. It is a great opportunity to get to know them better behind the camera and how they were able to reach they stature in the industry after years of brilliant work.
Which is why when I finally meet Ms. Sylvia Sanchez, I was in awe. She is without a doubt one of the FEW actress in the showbiz industry that will really leave a mark in you when you watch her projects like movies and teleseryes and when you also meet her in person. She is a natural, so genuine - what you see is what you get, passionate in what she loves most - ACTING and above all, a loving Mother and wife who will give everything, anything for the sake of her family.
Ms. Sylvia Sanchez narrated how different her role is from The Greatest Love to her recent teleserye now airing via ABS CBN Kapamilya Gold "Hanggang Saan". In this teleserye, she plays the role of Sonya Magat-Alipio. She shared that her role as Sonya is her most challenging role compared to her role as Gloria in The Greatest Love because as Sonya, she experiences a roller coaster of emotion in consecutive scenes. She also knows that after her performance in The Greatest Love, people will be clamoring for more about her performance which is why she added that in this teleserye, they will experience a different Sylvia Sanchez.
Ms. Sylvia Sanchez also shared what are some of the challenges she experienced portraying the role as Sonya in "Hanggang Saan". According to her, the only thing she keeps in mind is to break the habits of Gloria in The Greatest Love so that it will now be carried over in her new teleserye. Ahe added that she can somehow relate to Sonya saying, "Kung palaban lang naman eh palaban naman talaga ako sa totoong buhay, pero ang kailangan yung pagtulala ako at malungkot ako iba dapat from The Greatest Love at sa Hanggang Saan, dapat iba atake dun."
Ms. Sylvia also shared that she sometimes keep tracks of the positive or even negative feed backs that she gets in "Hanggang Saan" via social media. She is thankful for the praises that she got and find it funny at times that some people also throws negative feedback about Sonya, her role in the teleserye.
Ms. Sylvia also shared what it was like to be working with her son Arjo Atayde who palys the role of Francisco "Paco" Alipio, his son in "Hanggang Saan". She said that both of them acts the same like they are in their home, she said that, "Hindi ako yung naka-tutok sa kanya dahil may show kami or dahil andyan sya magkasama kami, kapag may kailangan lang kami pag-usapan o may problema dun kami nag-uusap kasi hinahayaan ko sya, pinapabayaan ko-pina-pakawalan ko sya." "Pagdating naman sa acting hinahayaan ko lang din sya, poag rehearsal ganun din."
During my one on one interview with Ms. Sylvia Sanchez, I got to ask her the golden question that I know for sure, some of you are very curious to know. She is now 46 years old but she really looks younger than her age! I asked her how she stays ageless and what makes her look glowing and fresh all the time, according to her, her secret is happiness and peace of mind because if you have these two, it will radiate within you and it will reflect in your physical look. She always push away the negative vibes around her so that she will only see the goodness in life.
Ms. Sylvia Sanchez also shared her bucket lists that she wanted to work with like the Star for all seasons Ms. Vilma Santos, Superstar Ms. Nora Aunor, MegaStar Sharon Cuneta and Ms. Maricel Soriano. When it comes to actors, she said that she have worked with almost all of the brilliant actors to day like Piolo Pascual and John Lloyd Cruz, her top choice
is Coco Martin.
It was really a memorable moment to interview and spend time with the Sylvia Sanchez, I admire all her works and her role in Hanggang Saan really gave her another spark when it comes to her acting prowess, I doubt if there's anything that she can't do especially when it comes to acting, I hope the younger generation of the actors and actress today will follow her footsteps when it comes to how she handles her career and her professionalism, being responsible and her passion in every role she got, whether a lead role of support role, she always give her 200%.
This is why everyone gets hooked on watching Hanggang Saan because the viewers know they can expect anything less from Ms. Sylvia Sanchez and from her role as Sonya.
