Festival Mall, a longtime champion of awareness about breast cancer and its early detection, continues to strengthen its ties with Asian Hospital Charities, Inc., ICanServe Foundation, and Project Pink Support Group in the fight against breast cancer.

Festival Mall, located in Alabang Muntinlupa, has been working with these groups for the past four years through the Pink October campaign which has won several awards, including two Silver Anvil Awards and two Quill Awards.  Pink October is a month-long series of events that include forums by doctors and inspirational talks by survivors, wellness sessions, art and calligraphy classes, aiming to spread awareness and encourage early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Last year, Pink Run raised a total of Php 225,000 for the organizations’ efforts to increase breast cancer awareness, provide medical treatment, and assist in giving emotional support to breast cancer patients.

Last Feb. 9, representatives from Asian Hospital Charities, Inc., ICanServe Foundation, and Project Pink Support Group received from Festival Mall checks worth Php 75,266.67 to aid in their projects in providing Filipinas with free support and treatment against breast cancer.
ICanServe Foundation will earmark the amount to promote early detection with programs like Ating Dibdibin free screenings and educational forums.  Asian Hospital Charities, the charity arm of Asian Hospital, will use the money to provide the necessary medical treatment for underprivileged breast cancer patients, while Project Pink, a cancer support group, will use the donation to further help patients and survivors receive emotional and psychological assistance as they go through their own breast cancer journeys.

Festival Mall is a Filinvest Lifemall and a premier development in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. It is the only mall with five anchor stores: Shopwise Supercenter, SaveMore, Robinsons Department Store, Ace Hardware and Handyman. It has over 700 shops, almost 4,000 parking slots, various food outlets, and indoor amusement rides.
