Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan brings kilig for the second time in This Time I'll Be Sweeter

Saturday, November 04, 2017

Fresh from the success of GMA Network's kilig Rom-Com teleserye "Meant To Be", Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan where they portrayed the role of Billie Bendiola and Yuan Lee, then came the #KenBie love team and fans were all excited with their much anticipated reunion as
they take over the big screen in the latest offering of Regal Films "This Time I'll Be Sweeter".

The cast were present together with multi-awarded director Joel Lamangan and Mother Lily during the Blogger's Conference of the movie spearheaded by the lead stars Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan.

Barbie and Ken shared that they've been friends for so long that they are very compatible working with each other. From Meant to Be now to This Time I'll Be Sweeter, both shared that they enjoyed working with each other because they are very close friends for about 6 years now saying that their bond became even more stronger.

"This Time I'll Be Sweeter" is so much different from the pair's recently-concluded soap in that the film requires from Barbie and Ken much deeper emotional range without sacrificing moments of kilig, joy and laughter.

In the movie, Erika (Barbie) and Tristan (Ken) are classmates in college. Tristan is considered a campus crush due to his skills in swimming. He and Erika grow close to each other but then the latter is left heartbroken as they part ways.

Erika then graduates as a Cum Laude and succeeds as a field reporter. Tristan, on the other hand, ends up working for the family-owned airline company. Their paths cross once more when an incident involving Tristan's family and Erika's career come into play. The call of duty prompts Erika to communicate with Tristan for a follow-up on a story she did.

That incident brings them closer again with Erika throwing in help so that Tristan may recover from a misfortune.

But is Erika prepared to be hurt again? Can love be sweeter the second time around?

Moviegoers will definitely remember Barbie's "Dalawang beses mo na akong sinaktan, sobrang tanga ko na kung gagawin ko pang tatlo di ba?!" scene long after they have left the theater.

During the Blogcon, The cast also shared who they want to work with in the future. Both Barbie and Ken have proven that they can do versatile roles. Barbie has done several teleseryes via GMA Network as well as mainstream films and indie films. She also had the chance to have an album under MCA Music in 2013.

Ken himself held his own and delivered such a strong performance, trained as he was as a lead star in his very own series, "Destiny Rose," on GMA Network. Although he narrated that he got a bit pressured on the pool scenes he had on this movie. He had to take swimming lessons once again  just for the movie plus he also admitted that he needs to get busy in the gym as well.

Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan and the cast were asked what it was like when they are in love and in a relationship.

This Time I'll Be Sweeter is a film about being heart broken and giving love a second chance. The cast were asked what's their take on giving love a second chance and if they ever experienced what it's like to be heartbroken.

Since the topic was all about love, the cast specifically Barbie and Ken were asked about their love life and if they are dating anyone right now. Check out their answers in the video.

Thea Tolentino, meanwhile, co-stars as the "third wheel" to Erika and Tristan's love story. This serves as Barbie and Thea's eunion project after working together in the successful GMA afternoon series, "The Half Sisters."
