12: A movie that is painfully relatable it will give you FEELS

Just recently, Alessandra de Rossi  was the talk of the town when her latest movie with Empoy Marquez which is entitled "Kita Kita" gained so much publicity and earned millions as well because of its heart-warming story that has touched Filipino audience.

Now, Alessandra will once again prove that in every project that she does, she always gives her 100% just like her newest offering from Viva Films with her new leading man Ivan Padilla in the movie "12".

“12” tells the story of Anton and Erika, a couple who started out as friends for 5 years then became in a relationship for 7 years, making it a total of 12 years of being together.

Anton is a  commercial director, while Erika is a former band member who becomes his stay-at-home partner, lovingly and happily devoting her time taking care of her man.  Finally, the day comes when he asks her to marry him. Will they end up getting married and stay together forever?

Last October 30, "12" held a free admission special screening at UP Cine Adarna where most of the viewers were students.

Before the film started, members of the press and bloggers were able to interview the lead stars of the movie Ivan Padilla and Alessandra de Rossi.  Both were excited and overwhelmed about how people will accept the film and their reviews as well after watching it. Alessandra added that she knows that this movie will definitely compared to her last movie "Kita Kita" but she hopes that people will also appreciate this movie because the story is entirely different.

There was a Q and A after the special screening of "12"

Alessandra also talked about how Ivan Padilla is perfect for the role as Anton and that she couldn't think of anyone else who could portray the role perfectly other than Ivan.

Ivan Padilla talked about how he is grateful for the chance of working with Alessandra de Rossi. He said that she is an actress who loves her craft more than anything else and she is very passionate on what she does.

Alessandra gave it her all for 12. Alessandra also wrote the screenplay, as well as compose the movie’s official soundtrack, alongside Marc Abaya. 12 deals with more sensitive topics, problems that couples can’t even talk to their friends about. Although she wrote the screenplay, Alessandra shared that not everything we’ll see in 12 is inspired by her real life experiences.

After watching the film, you will realize, specifically couples who have been together for quite some time that "communication" is the key in keeping the relationship healthy, both should know what their specific roles are in the relationship and that they should also give way to what each of them needs. Just like what Alessandra mentioned about Ivan, he is really perfect for the role, he fits the "sarcastic-always mad" kind of fiancee that somehow needs to attend an anger management consultation so that he can learn to mellow down and think straight while Alessandra, on other hand is given that she can portray any role given to her. I believe she is one of the most underrated actress in the Philippine Showbiz industry and she should be given roles that will truly make her shine aside from being stuck as a "kontrabida" for quite some time now.

Alessandra mentioned that while she enjoys writing stories and screenplays, she will not be accepting offers to write for movie outfits because she doesn't want to be trapped in a genre that she doesn't fit in. She just wants to write what she feels and what inspires her.

Alessandra mentioned her upcoming projects since she also has her production. She will have a movie with Piolo Pascual soon then a movie for Aga Muhlach and Alice Dixson will be in the works come 2018.

The official soundtrack of "12" is "Twelve"
The song is a collaboration between De Rossi (who wrote the lyrics, sung and produced the track) and Kjwan front man Marc Abaya (who arranged and played all of the instrumentation) results in an ambient tune which drips of longing and melancholia.  The song really gave the movie "feels" . I felt like I was listening to a foreign-composed song. It will give you goosebumps!

Don't miss "12" showing in cinemas nationwide starting November 8, 2017.
