Boracay Toilet: Where to Dine at Boracay
Sunday, October 29, 2017
On my recent trip to Boracay, I reminded myself that I want to dine at this famous restaurant where the food will be served in toilet bowls, it doesn't sound appetizing I know but the presentation looks really cute.
It was my third time in Boracay and I want to try something unique and worth remembering which is why we headed straight to Boracay Toilet on our second day during lunch time.
Boracay Toilet is located at the second floor and upon climbing the stairs you will see the vandalized walls which really looks like some of the public toilets in the country. You will also be greeted with colorful toilet covers on the wall.
The dining area is filled with toilet-inspired tables and chairs in line with the restaurant's name. The chairs are real toilet bowls with wonderfully designed toilet covers and the tables are bath tubs covered with glass and some are made with big orange PVC pipes. The lights (I didn't get the chance to take a photo though) were plungers and arinola.
You will definitely not miss this spot because this is where you will have a photo op.
The menu is also very colorful and shaped like a toilet seat. Most of the dishes are named quite uniquely although I hope they will add more dishes in the future so that customers will have more choices and even bundle meals fit for a group of people.
I really love the plate and the urinal where they put my iced tea. I was a bit hesitant to drink it first since my thoughts were I hope what I will drink is really clean and potable then again of course it is. The iced tea tasted really good too.
Lecheng Kawali yan! Php 395
Crispy Pok Binag-UU-ngan Php 395
Pork SHIT-sig Php 320
Steamed Rice Php 100 (good for 3)
The food is quite good, cooked well and tasted really good. Although my only comment is that it's a bit pricey, you can probably share it with 1 friend only but one variant of dish can be limited to 1 to 2 persons only which is why it is best to order different dishes if you will be going here in big groups.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the place is surprisingly clean and doesn't smell like you're really inside a toilet. We all know that there are a lot of establishments in Boracay and somehow, the food business is really booming but somehow it is also a big challenge for business owners to have their customers keep coming back or gain more customers as years go by. Boracay Toilet with its cool and quirky concept, will surely land on the must-visit list of places in Boracay.
Once you're there, don't forget to take photos inside because it's really Instagram worthy!
