Bea Binene stars in her self-produced & conceptualized Film Fading Paradise, part of QCinema 2017

Thursday, October 19, 2017

Bea Binene has proven that she can very be a versatile actress and presently, she can do so much more aside from being active in terms of acting.

Presently, Bea Binene is now doing what she loves most aside from acting, she is putting in action what she've learned from studying A.B. Film in Meridian International. So far, according to Bea, it is more challenging to conceptualize and produce a film compare to just act in from of the camera.

Bea Binene talks about how "Fading Paradise" was created and the struggles they encounter in doing an indie film. The film was taken at Camarines Sur.

"Fading Paradise" is an advocacy film that speaks to the heart. The film, which talks about the environment and climate change, came from Bea's own concept.

In the film "Fading Paradise" directed by AurelAyson, Bea plays a student filmmaker who uses the name "Paradisogirl" on Instagram and YouTube, where she has a channel with lots of travel videos.

Bea and friends, all millennials, all Youtubers prepare for a special trip. She has a Youtube page with lots of travel videos entitled Paradisogirl, the same hashtag and IG title she uses. She is a student filmmaker as well.

The purpose of the trip is to visit a hidden island in Bicol where Bea and her best friend grew up in. Only a few Bicolanos know of this secret island. The underwater world was unique, thriving and world-class. They also had a secret lagoon here when they were kids.

The memory of this magical island was real until they encounter an unexpected surprise -this majestic environmental wonder became a victim of unregulated corporate abuse and greed which will leave Bea and her friends an important realization.

Bea also shared how the cast became part of the film and that the moment she shared that it's an advocacy and an indie movie, they also said yes and wanted to be part of the film right on. She was thankful that they're all very supportive and that everyone's really excited for their premiere via QCinema this October.

This film superimposes spectacular imagery of nature with the frenetic comings and goings of a modem-day megapolis played by Bea and friends.

"Through this film, we hope to raise awareness on the state of our environment, particularly in relation to the country's virgin islands," said Bea. She added that she has been really active when it comes to doing advocacies and she was thankful that GMA Artist Center has been doing everything to make her part of charity causes each year.

Fading Paradise is one of the featured films of this year's QCinema.
