We all know that Horror films is really the forte of Regal Films and they're produced quality horror films over the years making it one of their priced possession, this year, Regal Films will send chills running to your spine and probably another sleepless night with The Debutantes as the five millennial stars' biggest break under director Prime Cruz, the same director whi gave us "Ang Mananaggal sa Unit 23-B".

Meet The CAST

Miles Ocampo plays the role Lara, a friend that try to be nice to everyone including Sue's role. Miles is a product of the kiddie gag show "Goin Bulilit" and she's also part of numerous show and appeared in number of movies like "I've Fallen For You", "A very special love", "You Changed my Life" and "Paano na Kaya".

Chanel Morales as Shayne, stands as the newest Regal Millenial Baby. She first notice in the artista search "Artista Academy"on TV5 and was part of the "Wattpad Present" series. She, too, is in the cast of "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano".

Sue Ramirez plays the role of Kate and fails miserably in winning the friendship of fellow students and she was bullied by the girls. Kate then experiences a nightmare and warns them about it but they would not listen except for Lara (Miles).

Sue was first seen in the remake of the hit teleserye "Mula sa Puso" which was followed by the series "Angelito: Ang Batang Ama", "Annaliza", and the ongoing horror serye "La Luna Sanggre". She was also part of the reality show "I Can Do That" aside from being named Honorary Tourism Amabassador for Korea.

Michelle Vito plays the role of Candice. She initially made her mark as a contavida in the fantaserye "Aryana", which was topbilled by Ella Cruz. She has done showa for TV (ABS CBN) and was cast in the horror film "Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay".

Jane De Leon plays the role of Jenny, leader of the group who bullied Kate. She was a multi-talented entertainer when she entered the showbiz. She was in the fantasy series "Wansapanataym" last year and was a member of the all-girl dance group "Girltrends" of It's Showtime in 2012.

Together, these girls deliver a unique brand of horror in "The Debutantes", one that today's millennial generation can relate to as it delves into the subject of bullying within the campus.

The Plot

The story revolves around Kate (Sue), a friendless and weird-looking student who tries to win the friendship of fellow students Lara (Miles), Jenny (Jane), Candice (Michelle) and Shayne (Chanel).

She, however, fails miserably in that she only gets close to one of them, Lara, while the rest of the girls find immeasurable joy in bullying her around. Kate then experiences a nightmare and warns them about it, but they won’t listen to her except for Lara.

“Sue has an internal struggle within her and that’s where the horror emanates,” said Direk Prime. “But each one of them has their own story and their respective highlight as well.”

Direk Prime had a good time working with his young cast. “They help each other out in every scene. Maganda sila katrabaho kasi magkakaibigan sila,” he added. DSirek Prime said that each role in this movie is important and that there are no small roles every role is important to create a movie.

As a director, how did he make sure that each one has equal exposure? “I just followed what is written in the script. If in this scene, Sue needs to have a close-up shot, then I will give her a close-up. Same with the other cast members,” the director explained.

The cast also talked about their experience on doing a horror film and what it was like to be directed by Direk Prime Cruz.

The cast also shared how grateful they are to Regal Films especially to Mother Lily for giving them a chance to be part of the movie, Sue added that they feel lucky because this is their first movie that they are the lead characters.
