Woke Up Like This starring Vhong Navarro & Lovi Poe showing on August 23 under Regal Films

PRIME comedian Vhong Navarro and prime actress Lovi Poe deliver back to back fun and laughter in this year's most riotous and wackiest movie, "Woke Up Like This," from Regal Entertainment.
Vhong and Lovi were last paired in an episode of "Shake, Rattle & Roll XVI" where they sent chills down to moviegoers' spine.
This time, they offer a different kind of theater experience as they dabble on a fresh comedic take that is both refreshing and very millennial. "WULT" is a major challenge for the Prime Actress, who displays her comic/kikay side on screen for the first time.
Based on her track record, Lovi is more popularly known as a drama actress. In fact, her last film appearance was in the sizzling sexy-drama "The Escort," also produced by Regal.
Vhong, meanwhile, is a comedian at heart and he has proven this many times over in previous box-office assignments.

In"WULT," however, the screen comic ups the ante of his act to make sure audiences would be even more entertained.
Vhong plays Lando, dubbed as the King of the Basketball Court. A hardcore eager, he is a dutiful son who takes on the role of the head of the family after his father (played by Joey Marquez) meets an accident and injures himself on the court.
Unfortunately, Lando can be unsportsmanly at play and his dream of being part of a big basketball league is sidelined when he wakes up one day being in the body of a woman he doesn't even know.
Lovi is Sabrina, tagged as the ramp queen. Beautiful, sexy, and very competitive. Her fate as a most sought-after model vying for the Supermodel of the Whole Wide Philippines title will change when she finds herself trapped in a man's body.
The mystery of Lando and Sabrina's switch is the subject of "WULT's" endless comic situations. The Vhong-Lovi comic pairing shows strong potential as the movie's initial teaser instantly posted 7 million views and likes from netizens. The same goes for the official trailer which was uploaded on August 2.
"WULT" is megged by new director Joel Ferrer. Ferrer is an actor, writer and director best known for projects like "Baka Siguro" (2015), "Blue Bustamante" (2013 and "Hello World" (2013). His works have been cited for their clever dialogue and conversational comedy. "WULT" is his directorial debut for mainstream cinema.

Sexy Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Cora Waddell is being introduced in the film while Dionne Monsanto, Ynna Asistio and child actor Raikko Mateo essay important roles.
The Vhong-Lovi comic tandem starts spreading belly laughs in cinemas nationwide August 23 via "Woke Up Like This" from Regal Entertainment, the same company that produced Ai-Ai de las Alas' blockbuster hit, "Our Mighty Yaya."
